CountryRoyal Did anyone listen to the post match interview?

No. Wonder if Dellor is shitting his pants having to speak to him. Thought he was gonna get his lights punched out after asking him about the result after Kidderminster

blythspartan I watched us lose 7 - 1 at Chesterfield back in 1979 after we took the lead. I honestly never thought that I’d see us concede 7 goals again. oxf*rd off Pauno. Now a 40 mile drive back to Bassett.

Mate. I took " the coach" to that. Don't know who you are...but fair play fella. We were there :D

There was the 6-0 drubbing by Peterborough in the 2nd Rnd of the league cup in 2013. Reading teams have a history of not turning up. Was a strong side that night as well.

This is all club1871s fault. Ever since they started we have slowly gone downhill.

Coincidence? I think not.

They need to GO

SCIAG

SCIAG I’m afraid you have your facts wrong! Staff costs have gone from £30m to £35m, not a huge change. Our big issue has been the end of parachute payments.

Of course we could have played entirely by the rules and soft Swift for £3m, not signed Joao, etc. Would we have stayed up this long though? Probably not. End of the day, I don’t think a points deduction is inherently “destroying the club” - seems like a good trade off for the points that breaking FFP has gained us over the years.

If only someone could have forseen the end of the parachute payments during their regime and taken steps to do something to deal with that.

:| :| :| :| :| :|

Yes, they sold to someone richer one game before the parachute payments were due to expire.

Brilliant club management to carry on as if you're still receiving parachute payments.

CountryRoyal Listening now just waiting. I hope the pcunt does the decent thing and resigns and doesn’t take a payout. Prick.

You think that's possible? If it's a resignation you mean? Yeh would be nice.

Would be great if that's what the Dais said to him - "we'll stick with you if you do the honourable thing when you know your time is up."

But more likely Pauno will say "Well, we had an unfortunate injury, a bad mistake, a turned down penalty, we were very good [which to be fair we were till the penalty] but then had an unlucky penalty against us and we tried to chase the game with a depleted squad. I hope the players will learn from this."

Ahhh...the Federici can't dive to his corners routine.

I remember it well. Tomlin destroyed us iirc.

Because he’s ruining our club by being incompetent.

Hardly. You'll be calling the next bloke a oxf*rd in 3 months time. The manager isn't the issue.

Or at least he's one of many many issues at the club, but probably one of the least significant.

It's not often that a game gives the losing team two glorious goals that have been ruled out for offside, whilst conceding an iffy penalty, assisting the opening goal for the opposition, and then losing 7 nil.

I guess we gave up at half time. Shame, seems everything was against us tonight.

It's been the same story for a few seasons now. Remember not being given 3 penalties in the same game?

Bugger it.

I want to dislike Pauno but to be fair to him he sounds sad, broken, and genuine.

Has he taken any responsibility for the worst week in the club's history?
