Mr Optimist
Gary Megson has legend status in the blue half of Sheffield for knowingly referring to the cuddly Mr Warnock as Colin when on Sky Sports once.

Where did that Colin thing come from?

Colin W a n k e r is an anagram of Neil Warnock

There's a great meme of him asking for a vowel on countdown.

Not the original but you get the idea

Stranded Midweek fixtures then:

Tonight

Hull v Barnsley
Reading v Birmingham

Tomorrow

Derby v Millwall
Fulham v Peterborough

Win tonight needed to put pressure on Derby tomorrow. A Barnsley win would actually be quite nice as, if we win we would be just 5 points off them with a game in hand and a game against them coming up.

Perfect night tonight. Now neither side winning tomorrow would cap it off.

Expect Derby will get something against Millwall, and think Posh will beat Fulham.

Serious pressure on Derby tomorrow now with a winnable home game. Let's see how they handle it. Points in the bank >>>>> games in hand.

Think Hull are back in it tonight. Two points from the last five and six losable games after Peterborough away at the weekend. Posh will have a new manager/first home game bounce so I can't see them winning there, then it's West Brom (H), Brum (A), Coventry (A), Luton (H), Huddersfield (H) and Boro (A).

Forget us for a minute (7 points from three games could be a freak) - Hull could still be on 36/37 with 41 games played. Even if Derby win every other game, and looking at their fixtures it is very possible, they will have caught them with five, maybe four games to go.

It will be hard for the bottom three to escape, but we all know what the Championship is like.

Would be a nervous Hull fan after tonight.

Our remaining games- Blackpool (away), Millwall (home), Forest (away), Bournemouth (away), Blackburn (home), Barnsley (away), Stoke (home), Cardiff (home), Sheffield United (away), Swansea (home), Hull (away), WBA (home) and Luton (away).

Derby- Millwall (home), Luton (away), Cardiff (away), Barnsley (home), Bournemouth (away), Blackburn (away), Coventry (home), Preston (home), Swansea (away), Fulham (home), QPR (away), Bristol City (home), Blackpool (away) and Cardiff (home)

Peterborough- Fulham (away), Hull (home), Huddersfield (away), Bournemouth (away), Stoke (home), Swansea (home), QPR (away), Middlesbrough (home), Luton (home), Bristol City (away), Blackburn (home), Barnsley (away), Forest (home), Millwall (away) and Blackpool (home)

Barnsley- Middlesbrough (home), Derby (away), Stoke (home), Fulham (home), Bristol City (home), Sheffield United (away), Reading (home), Millwall (away), Swansea (away), Peterborough (home), Huddersfield (away), Blackpool (home), Preston (home) and WBA (away)

Hull- Peterborough (away), WBA (home), Birmingham (away), Coventry (away), Luton (home), Huddersfield (home), Middlesbrough (away), Cardiff (home), Millwall (away), Reading (home), Bristol City (away) and Forest (home).

Peterborough have by far the toughest run imo, but this could go down right to the wire. Absolutely cannot be left to the final day as we’re away from home.

You missed out Blackburn at home after Bournemouth, 3 horrendous games in a row there.

Praying Millwall get something tonight at Derby, even 1 point would be good for us.

Win Saturday and we potentially drag Hull into it. Peterborough have to win v Hull to have a chance of staying up too so that will be a tough game for them too.

We need 4 points from the next 2 as Forest, Bournemouth and Blackburn could be 3 straight defeats and our cushion could go
