genome
Royal_jimmy 3 home wins on the spin. When was the last time we achieved that?

Last season :P

Leave Jimmy alone, he's currently choking on humble pie. Cut him some slack.

A win is a win is a win.

We'll need to play better than that to get one most weeks though. Even a totally blunt boro side should have had at least 2, maybe 3.

But we should play better than that second half most weeks, so certainly not a big issue. We'll lose playing better than that this season. Desperately need to use our bench more and better, the players were dead on their feet. Joao is never going to win it if its played no where near him or to his head against 2/3 defenders, or asking him to sprint in behind. And he's never going to run all day pressing 2 / 3 defenders on his own either.

Feels odd to have won but still have quite a lot of complaints.

Just on the bus and seen the stats ...as you say, a win is a win....but I guarantee last season we would have conceeded. Do worry about our height at the back. A quality front man will hurt us. Just hope Dann isn't far off.

Good reaction to losing 4-0 last week. Beating 2 decent sides at home. Fair play to Ince and the lads

Just back

Very good win. 1st half very good, completely outplayed them. Let them Stam ball but we were by far the more dangerous

Looked absolutely shattered second. Kept going though and defensive shape and organisation excellent. Boro didn’t threat a lot considering their possession

Fornah brilliant. Holmes and TMc also great. Loum a bit leggy but did some great stuff. Long and Joao disappointing for different reasons (Joao really lacking in energy)

Hoilett and Ince Excellent again

Anyway thought we’d get 0 points from those 2 and we’ve ended up with 6. Happy days

Nurse, nurse I need my medication.

I must be hallucinating … I keep thinking Reading have won two games on the trot without conceding a goal
What is this alternate universe ?

I prefer it to that other one, though, so maybe hold off on the meds

I would bite your hand off for 21st place right now. We are in a false position but these points will help in the relegation fight.

We are a really limited side but if we fight we have a chance.

Think today we saw the result of basic having 11-12 players. Looked broken by the end

Need to get those injured players back then keep that discipline and desire and upper lower mid table perfectly plausible

With that desire and work rate, allied with a little talent and momentum this team could finish higher than anyone expects. The 4-0 last week may end up being a blessing.

Perfect set up today letting Boro enjoy hours of sterile possession. Fight is there and Weds showed the talent side. Momentum is everything in this league, let's keep it building.

Thought wilders quotes about Boro spot on.

Next week will be very interesting. Away again against a team who are some sort of blueprint for how we are playing, but we arguably have a bit more about us going forward

After a weeks rest and hopefully Sarr, Meite, Hutchinson back in the mix. Looking forward to it

WTF was that pen the ref gave and then reversed it for an offside? didn`t look much contact to me.

Looked really soft to me. So soft I think the linesman would have given offside even if it wasn't !

Team were clearly dead on their feet from about 60 minutes on. Joao to me doesn't look fully fit either (or maybe not fully bothered....) . Need some players back / in to give some of them a break. Thought Fornah and Ince were excellent throughout though.

But great fight and organisation - we could easily have lost that.

Sarr will sort the height issue out. Not fussed about seeing Dann play for us again.

After the pressing game v Blackburn, asking pretty much the same set of players to go again for 90 minutes was always going to be tough. They lasted 45-60 minutes but understandably faded. At least Hutchinson is quoted by Ince as being cramp so should be back for next week (famous last words of course).

That goal is disallowed with VAR, Hendrick standing right in front of the keeper, but i don`t care.
