How whelmed are you with his appointment?

Very underwhelming here and not happy. This club has been on a downward spiral since the PO final loss and it doesn't look like ending anytime soon.

He's interim for 5 games and we need someone to hit the ground running. He knows the players, knows the club and unless we had someone lined up, he'd have been caretaker regardless.

It's a safe, short term appointment. Who were you expecting or wanting, dd?

At such short notice I'm not expecting much, just think anything has to be better than Ince.

Delighted with Noel. He's a positive character and he knows the club.

Bowen's the only real alternative and he will rightly want to avoid the gig for multiple reasons and needs to stay doing the crucial where he is. Especially with the threat of relegation looming.

When we lost on Monday, I thought even Shane Long would be ok for five games and better than Ince. Noel Hunt is a little better.

He's only here in the short-term so I can't say I'm under/over-whelmed to be honest. We just need someone to try and keep us up ultimately. He might not be in the job next season regardless of what division we are in as well.

Not sure who else would have fancied the handful of games left, and at such short-notice. Hunty at least likes his teams to play on the front foot and get at the oppo. Having said that, it's Burnley next, so we'll be defending for our lives.

Who was I wanting?

Gareth Ainsworth last year, Neil Warnock about 7 games ago

Or the Cowley brothers, top class managers

No point in being whelmed or otherwise with the appointment

Whelmed, it had to be Hunt who took charge if Ince was sacked.

It'll be interesting to see how he gets on, nothing to lose for him. I hope he can bring the character, spirit and passion from his playing days into the squad.

Where are you getting the budget for that? There's no money. Given we breached this season's agreement we may well still be under further restrictions next season.

According to Bowen, just a budget limit, which we should have been operating to in the first place.

I don't think a manager to replace Ince in the summer will cost much/if any more than Ince cost us

If we are in League 1 next season, aren't the permitted losses and/or other restrictions more severe? If/when we go down, we could easily overspend and attract more points deductions next season, if we don't cut costs even further. How will we be able to attract a good manager if we can only pay him in peanuts?

Can't be much more severe than where we are as Rotherham and Wigan can bounce back and forth on smaller attendances and marginally bigger Championship budgets.

Losing Moore, Joao and Meite off the wage bill helps massively. Best part of £3m right there. Maybe Puscas, then it's just Ejaria basically.

If we get anything like we saw from him as a player then we’d at least it’ll be a fight, but it’s not quite good enough on its own for me, so hopefully he has a bit more than that in his locker.

Done a decent job with the U23s by the sound of it though.
