Sutekh
tmesis The one hope really is that Wigan must know it's pretty much all over.

They have to win both of their last two games, hope Huddersfield lose both of their next two, then draw with us, while also hoping Blackpool don't win their last two, or they are down.

They’ve asked for a further 500 tickets apparently, so there is some belief there. They will have to go for it for 90 minutes or at least until they get ahead then it’ll become one of those terrific “try and beat the bus” games that Reading are always so good at winning.

They had only sold 500 a couple of days ago so I don’t think they will bring more than 1,000 in total.

I’ve seen this before a team almost resigned to relegation with there fate sealed all of a sudden they start winning.

I have a horrible feeling about this game. Wigan will be right up for it plus have the luxury of two wins on the bounce!! We are in total disarray, are midfield is always overrun and we struggle to create chances.

This has away win written all over it!! However, this is football, if we can just get a win, then that will change the whole mindset and mentality of the players.
Winning becomes a habit, and sadly, so does losing....however, we finally get to play a team at the bottom and if we cannot beat Wigan then really there cannot be any complaints.

Yup, and (not sure if it’s doable…..and cba to even check) if we are to get relegated, I hope it happens this Saturday.

At least we can play with ‘gay abandon’ in front of a very smug Colin, knowing that he cannot administer that final coup de grace.

We've a shocking record of " must win games " particularly at home , remember Fulham and Birmingham ?

About time we won one of these crunch games

remember those happy days of losing 0-2 at home to (already relegated) Watford in our penultimate game 2006/2007, yet most lament about only drawing away at Blackburn as why we missed out on Europe.

The momentum a win can generate from this sort of game is unbelievable. It’s out of our hands what happens now, just want the players to give it their best shot and be bold about it.

I remember beating West Ham 4-2 in a must win game but yes few and far between must wins go our way.

I'd argue that that wasn't must win as the outcome that season was a massively unexpected bonus.

Back to Saturday and looks like there could well be a crowd of over 20k there - which for a side that haven't won in 11 games is a fantastic turnout.

I think if we won there, and sent Huddersfield down, he'd probably go a shade of puce so vivid that it'd be have to be given a name.

Got nothing against Colin. Great manager and should have been our manager instead of Ince.

If we don't win I do fear how toxic the atmosphere will be, especially if we lose and don't give a good performance in.

We'll win because doing so will be more painful than being put out of our misery.

The odds for this are quite interesting market barely has anything between us and Wigan in the 1x2 market which is worrying when you think we have home field advantage as well https://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/championship/reading-v-wigan/winner

Whenever we have had a big crowd of 20k+ I don't remember us winning for ages. Burton and Coventry we both lost for example.

21,000 tickets sold, confirmed by the club this morning. Actual WTF. Gonna be a day of proper drama.

Wigan have sold just under 1,000 so if you exclude the other 1,200 empty seats in the away end there is not a left in the home ends…

Hopefully it goes well, I can only imagine how toxic it might get if Wigan take the lead.
