Exactly…..

Vacuous virtue signalling - earning millions - about as genuinely interested in the plight of the less fortunate in the UK as the average champagne socialist….

Just say the right thing and rake it in …

And you know his true feeling how? Because The Daily Mail said so? How many refugees have you hosted in your household?

The idea that wealthy people can't possibly have any sense of social injustice is ridiculous, but is often spouted by right wingers to discredit them - when all it does really is make it clear that the people who moan about 'champagne socialists' don't care in the slightest about the causes those rich people talk about.

Did you cut and paste this from some kind of manifesto?

There are self promoters of all kinds who do stuff - publicise them and then benefit personally to a far greater extent than the proposed ‘good’ that they claim to have undertaken…

They consult their PR team…

See Bill Hicks and marketing or Thomas Sowell and the anointed…

It’s nothing new - it’s opportunistic - it is cost free in terms of accountability and it goes on across the political spectrum …

It creates division and does not serve as a solution to anything…

I mentioned ‘Champagne socialists’ in this instance because the BBC and its output appear to be dominated by them …

This seems oddly apt

Basically you have no evidence whatsoever that Lineker isn't genuine, but you've 100% decided that he isn't. Well, I say 'you' have decided, but I'd imagine you were just told it by a right wing newspaper opinion piece or highly informative youtube video, and that was the end of your mental journey.

Actually that's unfair, as I suspect you've been on a mental journey for quite a few years now.

Let me guess, if true, the club are late on the next PAYE payment.

I'm inclined to believe it's the latter of the two options.

Got it in one.

But associated news is that additional investment is very, very close.

Better get as many of those as possible on trial signed up with a contract before the next embargo lands.

Well both are very believable but will take both with a pinch of salt until official confirmation comes - naturally the additional investment would be very welcome indeed , I assume this would be someone/a group buying a minority share?

Oh and if it is true, the club is 3 days late, which means we will have had to tell the EFL, so the embargo would be back on today/tomorrow.

Does this mean that we’ll be under another transfer embargo?

Likely that would mean a points deduction too - as Wigan had three missed payments before getting a suspended deduction, followed by a three point penalty once they missed a fourth.

Doesn't one of the Thais still own a share of the club (25%)? Dai selling some of his stake could lead to us having a number of minority shareholders.
