They've thrown that away with poor game management.

Reading and bottling the play offs. Name a more iconic duo.

Time wasting is such an odd thing. All you're doing is adding even more time on to hold out for.

We look extremely ragged when they break. So I don't fancy it going to pens. I think there's a goal in this still, one way or another.

We wouldn't get a penalty from this ref if one of their players shot ours in the head. We certainly aren't getting one for a dive like that from Tuma.

Not sure I agree with the the play for penalties tactic against a team who just won their last round on penalties without missing. Even if we do only have 10

We really do find new and interesting ways to lose in play offs. These boys definitely have the Reading DNA

Boyce Clarke looks shit. Don't let him anywhere near the first team next season

Oh dear.

Well played Sunderland, but we threw that away in additional time in the second half.

Didn’t think that was a freekick just then.

:?:

Pretty much no chance with any goals. Multiple crucial saves.

One poor pass.

Didn’t think a refereeing performance at U21 level could piss me off as much as this…

So to recap.We've had:

2-0 up and miss a penalty to lose a play-off final.

One of our own players kick the ball against his teammate and see it loop into the back of our own goal to lose a play-off.

Come back from 3-0 down hit the post at 3-2 to lose a play-off final.

Lose a play-off final on penalties.

And now the young lads have come up with... concede a goal in the final minute of normal time to draw and then go on to concede another in extra time to lose a play-off game.

So.... first time I've seen them in a while.

CBC - obviously some distribution issues. Maybe a mite small. But some good saves.
Ryan - looks a good prospect, maybe some time next season, but no hurry at RB.
Carson - amazing crosser, but you need more than that. Not very surprised he's off but wish him well.
Stickland - looks decent, perhaps a bit slow
Holzman - similar
Borgnis - can't say he particularly impressed me. We seemed to bypass midfield a lot.
Akande - potential, but didn't look more than some cameos next season.
Wellens - didn’t get much of an impression of him.
Wareham - took his goal well, seems to have good strength and decent feet.
Clarke - did surprisingly well at left wing seeing as he's a defender. Hard to say if he could step in at LB or LCB, but wouldn’t mind seeing him get a few chances.
Okine-Peters - didn't really get involved too much and then obviously an injury.

Senga - expected more from him, but we do go front to back quickly, which limits what he can do.
Tuma - quick and strong, some definite promise there. Needs to stay on his feet.
Sackey - looked busy, but saw very little before we went to jsut defend
Hall? - similar to Sackey

I swear someone else came on but can't remember.

Not sure there's many that will step into much first team football next season at this point.

Do you really think he looks ready for the first team?

Think he could do with a loan to help him improve his decision making and distribution. Agree that none of the goals were his fault but he kicked numerous balls into touch towards the end (it happened so often I wonder if it was a time wasting tactic?), his pass caused the red card, in the first half he kicked the ball out rather than taking it back into his area to pick up when he had time.

There's possibly a good keeper there but he is very inexperienced - think he even shares Academy games with Collins so hasn't played much.

We've got an option on Pereira, Button, Bouzanis and Andresson.

Why would it even come up to say he shouldn’t be part of the first team after a perfectly fine performance, with some flaws?

No one is suggesting he should be our number 1.
