Noticed Pelle Clement has played regularly in the Eredivise ever since leaving us: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pelle_Clement

He's currently at Sparta Rotterdam who play in the Dutch Conference League play-off semi-final (winners qualifying for the Conference League) on Thursday night.

A player I seem to remember being played out wide when he wasn't a wide player and we had about 6 wingers in the squad.

Yeah he was a diminutive central midfielder who didn't quite fit the English way of playing. Certainly would have taken him some time to get used to it.

I recall him playing a game at right-back and being very decent.

Sean Long and Luke Southwood have both informed Cheltenham that they will be leaving this summer when their contracts expire.

Good luck to them both.

We're well overstocked on keeper, but if we weren’t Southwood wouldn’t be a bad shout.

Sean Long would be worth a look though. Yiadom is getting on, Abrefa isn’t setting the world alight just yet and we're not exactly overstocked on experience at CB.

Would never have thought of him as manager material but good luck to him.
The article didn't mention his very successful time at Bristol Rovers.

James Henry (now 34) released by the Ox. Wonder if he might end up back here?

Coalville Town have announced they will withdraw from their league and disband.

That's Leroy Lita's club, after Nuneaton Borough went under earlier this year. Man, who's going to want to sign him now?

Sad how local football seems to be going under, while money is pouring into other clubs and people don't care about their local football. Feels like England will turn into Spain, where half the country is just split between Real and Barca (I lived in Caceres, 4 hours from Madrid and like 16 from Barcelona and everyone supported these two clubs, even the guy from Sevilla).

"Coalville Town have withdrawn from the Southern Premier League Central division with immediate effect after their Chairman Glyn Rennocks has decided to step away from the club, stating costs as the main reason.
Part of his statement is below
As I approach my 70th birthday I can no longer continue to subsidise the club. I have always ran it in a sustainable way, never cut budgets and the club has no debts, However, after much thought and discussions I have taken the difficult decision to step away. The club will withdraw it’s men’s senior team and resign from the Southern League with immediate effect.
Over the last 2-3 years the costs of running a football club at this level have spiraled and the income has not matched the rise in costs.
Also in recent years the once fantastic support we received from North West Leicestershire District Council has diminished, especially since a certain councilor came to prominence.
There is a lot more on the statement including listing costs, broken promises, retirement, thanking staff and sponsors etc.
But it is the fans this will really hurt.
Let's hope something can be done!"

Think "a certain councillor" may well have mixed feelings too.
