mumbo-jumbo Lots of thoughts this morning

Wondering what the new style of ownership will actually look and feel like. How often will the new owners be over. how will information be released regarding club news, budgets, signings, short and long term targets etc. After the DY years of radio silence we must all be hoping for far more communication and sharing with fans and I for one would welcome a ''chatty'' owner. Hopefully there will be a Couhig media release sooner rather than later; I guess when the final bits of paperwork are done?

Anyone know a wycombe fan they can ask? I’d say he’ll follow a similar blueprint here.

Scutterbucketz Genuinely was pleased to see the big suited lummox, Kingsley and his family back. There were quested of kids in the North stand waiting to get a picture. I even saw one kid take of his shoe for Kingsley to sign it.

Presumably they’ve been missing because no one wanted to pay anyone to suit up, so their return is a symbol of hope.

No surprise we got hammered as soon as that filthy slag Queensley turns up. Everything started going wrong for this club when Kinsgsley met her.

When did they have the kid? Is Kingsley the Dad or is it some leonine James Hewitt type?

Does he have no pride?

He looks fukk all like Kingsley, now that you mention it.

Kingsley as a symbol of hope

Yes in the sense that not paying someone a few quid each week to dress up as a lion shows that you have zero interest in trying to make a connection between the club and young children and therefore have zero interest in the long term future of the club. That they’ve returned immediately is a good sign.

The bar as to what would constitute a "good" owner is pretty low after our experiences over the last few Years, but for me the following will be key:

1. Pay the staff's wages on time, every month.
2. Pay HMRC on time.
3. Invest where it can help the team (ie: overnight travel/accommodation before away games; hot food available for players at the training ground)
4. Explain to the fans what the vision for the club is (Jacobsen stated stability in the club's finances, and thats more than we heard in 5 Years) and the plans to achieve that vision.
5. Clear communication as to what happens with the Academy and the Women's team.
6. Create a regular channel of communications to the fans, both directly and through the local media
7. Have some ideas for the raising of additional revenues (ie: other uses for the ground such as concerts in the Summer etc)
8. Sort out the contracts of key players
9. A message of support for Noel/confirmation that he is remaining Manager for at least the remainder of his contract

Whilst I am - like everyone else - ecstatic DY has gone, I fear that there are still hard financial times to come, certainly short term, and we have to give the new ownership time to get to grips with things.

I’m assuming the timeline will be:

Tuesday(?): celebrate official completion of takeover.
Wednesday: protest new ownership’s lack of vision.

I expect a minimum of 5 new signings by Friday or it's Redwood out for me.

Presumably the academy will be abolished by Tuesday afternoon.

No one is paid. It’s whoever is available from the back room staff. That’s why it’s normally Kingsley on his own.

Well presumably there weren’t enough back room staff for the last 12 months.

I was away all weekend.

Is an agreement in principal to sell the club any different to the agreement in principal to sell the club that Couhig had last summer? Was it an announcement to keep the fans happy for the last game of the season while due diligence continues....?

It’s an agreement in principle and it is further than they got in September (ie. I presume that this time both parties have agreed and signed off on the deal, whereas last September only one side (RC) had) now it should just be a matter of lawyers formally finishing off.

Sadly still wouldn’t be a surprise if something somewhere happened today and trashed the deal… :?

Lawyers presumably in the process of updating Companies House as we speak (the outstanding legal technicalities?), new management seems to know what they’re doing. 1st working day sees the accounts for last year published. Should be back in the FL’s good books and able to see through a summer with normal trading now….
