MouldyRoyal
blythspartan Rob has confirmed in his latest interview posted this morning that we have another new investor coming onboard in the next week, who is in addition to Aliya. Elon Musk

It all sounds sensible too and he mentions a succession plan in case something happens to him. Possibly, the death of his brother last week made him elude to this. Anyway, much better days ahead! :D

got a link to that?

Assume it is this snippet -

Where he doesn't say Musk just investor

Some other non-Musk suggestions here -

Let's throw some random names out there: Jensen Huang; Peter Thiel; Alexander Karp; Marc Benioff. All fit with @RCouhig and Ross Kestin's "Silicon Valley of the UK" philosophy. #readingfc

Yep, Elon Musk was just meant as a joke, but who knows. It's just great to have some positive news after years of Sh!tness.

Musk would not be positive news!

Watching that clip, it sounds positive. Investors but not going to suddenly start breaking the bank. That's the right way imo

Real shame Rob wasn’t looking to buy when SJM was trying to sell. Reading now seemingly able to attract the investment they so desperately needed when the “potless” Russian was here yet it took a complete **** to drive the club into the ground to “get lucky” with it. Perhaps SJM missed a trick there :?

SJM was only interested in billionaires, as he had taken us as far as possible with only hundreds of millions.

I think RFC supporters need to rein in the criticism. We were desperate for Couhig to buy us and it's almost going to be very tricky going from financial basket case to stable well managed club at the same time as most of the squad being out of contract and us maintaining our clout on the pitch.

Realistically we should allow for 3+ transfer windows to see a team that could potentially get promoted and give the Championship a reasonable go.

99% of the criticisms are about couhig whipping up a frenzy amongst fans saying things like it’s going to be a spectacular window we have top 3 budget. And then making deadlines on things saying next week you’re going to be really surprised with these massive announcements, and then nothing happens.

I don’t want a spectacular window. We have proven over the last 4 years you can build a competitive squad without paying transfer fees. I’d I’ve like d to him to say look yeah I’ve taken over a massive shirt storm, this season we’re looking at a mid table finish with hopes of getting into the playoffs. And come out and basically said what you’ve just said.
