Crusader Royal Do loan players have medical ?
If they are broken you just send them back.

What if he's fit today, breaks a leg in September and we can't replace him until January? All very well sending back but we're still a man down.

How would a medical today foresee a broken leg in September ?

And we’d be a player down whoever broke a leg in September.

Do we have any other Irish players on the books ? There was a young guy with an Irish accent with the team on Saturday….and it definitely wasn’t Hunt !

If they are broken you just send them back.

You still pay their loan fee even if they get crocked, so yes definitely

Don’t think it was him but I don’t know what any of our players look like ! Was a younger guy, not a craggy faced old fashioned centre back.

Are you sure about that. Do you still pay it if the player gets recalled ? It’s going to be a case by case basis I would think, especially as loan fees are far from universal.

He is from Limerick and is 21, so suggest it would have been JR.

So we've got 2 players from Limerick, 1 from Cork and the the manager's from Waterford. Given that Shane Long was from Tipperary, we seem to do quite well with players from Munster. Maybe it's because it's a strong GAA area.

Wexford is in Leinster but your point remains valid

Munster produces many fantastic athletes and Munster teams tend to dominate the game of hurling in Ireland. Furthermore the Munster rugby team is one of the most iconic and celebrated teams in world rugby.

I, myself, am from Munster and am an extremely well-rounded athlete.

I took Doyle out of the original post because I realised he's from Leinster but it's still way down south.

Definitely Limerick, Cork and Waterford are strong Hurling Counties. IIRC, Kerry are the powerhouse at football, not that I pay that much attention to the goings on in Munster, being a Connacht man myself.

Had previous success too with Eamon Dunphy (Leinster man) and Jimmy Quinn, though he was from the North :o

Sure Reading had a football school, or some other connection to a club, out there a few years back as well :?
