Sutekh The OS lists Tyler Sackey still, thought he had left the club?

Looks like Sackey played the first half on Saturday

Looks like an XI in the first half of...

Pereira;
Abrefa, Stickland, Dorsett, Garcia;
Sackey, Wing, Savage;
Osho, Tuma, Camara

(Lynford has left, Tyler looks to still be with us)

3 excellent loan signings over the past few days, brilliant additions for this level and who will bring something significant to the squad.

Hopefully we don't end up with too many loanees though like we did in 2019/20. Especially if we aren't in with a sniff of promotion and they lose interest/stop trying. For a sustainable squad that'll bring success to the club we need some longer term signings above what we already have.

Couple of strikers, winger, maybe a midfielder, and a defender away from a complete squad? Not bad movement. Wonder how Nelson Abbey is getting on? PO'C's pace could be an issue so Abbey, or another faster CB could be useful.

Swift himself (in our dreams) or maybe Kezaiah Sterling?

John Swift? God his career has tanked since he joined Reading.

Following the past few days, I'm full confident that we'll have a very good squad. For me, I'd say we want:

One more CB to compete with Burns to be O’Connor's partner

One DM/CM who is a solid squad option but can accept being behind Wing, Savage, Elliott and Knibbs.

Kelvin renewing plus 2 other wide options. Would be happy if one is Meite

Another out and out striker option.

However, if the club disagree I can live with that. At a push, you could leave out the additional CB and one of the wingers.

Potential First XI

GK: Pereira

RB: Abrefa or Yiadom
CB: Burns, Dorsett or Stickland
CB: O'Connor
LB: Jacob

RW: Knibbs (?)
CM: Savage
CM: Wing
CM: Elliott
LW: Garcia or Ehibhatiomhan?

CF: O'Mahoney

That feels stronger than the second half of last year tbh

Yeah that’s how I see it

Would like to keep at least a loan spare til end of transfer window to cover any injuries or if someone great comes available

I reckon either Ryan or Clarke will be pushing for that starting 11. Clarke was stronger than Stickland from what I remember - though obvs depends on those injuries

He was never at QPR. Scott left Reading in 2021 and joined up with Ben Garner as a management team at Swindon, then they were at Charlton before taking up the reins at Colchester prior to Matty Etherington’s arrival. When Garner was sacked, Marshall was caretaker manager for 4 days prior to Etherington finally taking over. Garner is now head coach at the Right to Dream International Academy in Ghana.

I think we need a winger with some pace and skills to give us a different option. I personally don't think Meite is the answer.
