New disjointed defense and nothing up front equals 4-0 to Lincoln.
Going on a what I’ve seen in pre season I would start Ahmed RB, Ryan LB, Osho RW, Danny K LW, Kelvin up front. Possibly Fraser DM behind Wing and Savage so defense has some help and Wing can get further forward.
Obviously Hunt won’t have the balls to do any of this.

You’ve seen the same games as me then :)

Though I’d keep O Mahony up front and Kelvin wing, Osho on bench but first attacking sub

I do think we’re over reacting a bit yo pompey though, the defence was decent in the previous games. I’m going for a 1-1 or 2-2.

We scored 5 in a game end of last year with Chem/Wareham/Kelvin (even Bodin scored) and 3 twice with Camara/Kelvin/Chem up top

I think people forget div1 is a bit shit

And we're bang average Div 1 standard by the looks of things.

You just know O’Connor will be trying so hard as it’s his official debut and back at his old club he will score an own goal!
Then he will get frustrated cos we getting battered and the Lincoln fans are giving it to him, he gets sent off while giving away a penalty !!
You heard it here first :D

I'm not saying we'll never score 2. But Lincoln are decent and organised. And whatever forwardline we field will be patchwork.

I think its going to be a slow start. But that's fine. And hopefully we won't see many teams with as good a movement and pace up top as Pompey, so the defence is solid.

We are losing out on signings who would prefer Stevenage, Port Vale, and Burton Albion to us. I fear for us as I just cannot see where goals are going to come from and the current squad is painfully under-resourced. Would not be surprised if Lincoln score three or four.

And you're just assuming we were actually interested in these players.

Such a huge leap there. In terms of the players you're presumably referencing:

Campbell - consensus seems to be not good enough for our first team but would be a solid backup. We preumably offered him wages accordingly. Stevenage likely offered him regular starts and (probably) wages accordinly than we wanted to go.

Cole - nothing to say we ever made an offer that 'lost out', or were ever confirmed to be interested. Just twitter rumours about interest.

Shade - not even a twitter rumour to say we were interested, let alone actual confirmed interest.

Devante Cole was disappointing but he’s always played in the northern half of the country so maybe just wasn’t interested given Reading can’t fling about massive salaries and/or signing on fees and Chem Campbell didn’t exactly setting the place alight last season.

Tyrese Shade moved to Burton and there is absolutely nothing anywhere that says Reading were remotely interested his signing yet we’ve apparently lost out on him

Looking forward to Josh Bowler being the next player we miss out on.
