We simply don’t have a team. We have a collection of strangers playing kick and, very occasionally, rush.

Has it occurred to anyone that it's the quality of the players and the fact we are building a new team every season that's the issue?

The manager might be a secondary issue.

Yes. Calling for the managers head is beyond daft and you'd like to think it's just unimaginative trolling.

I think in hindsight recruitment wasn't good enough this season. Lane, Marriott, Williams, O'Connor, Ritchie, Fraser and Doyle all looked good on paper, but there is no coherent plan.

Example in case is Wing and Savage being deep and lost every week. Did we think about what sort of players would complement them? What they need is a CB who can help build attacks and let them get on the ball, but we didn't sign one. Obviously we didn't sign a proper CF to play off and build attacks off too.

I don't really see much leadership of standards setting either. Ritchie was meant to bring that; his 30 minutes tonight were an abomination. He's played at the top level and probably commands respect in the dressing room; do younger players think it's okay to be utterly shit if they see him playing like that?

No point saying Richardson out; he's inherited a shitshow. And also don't defend Hunt as he holds a lot of responsibility. He had the chance to influence the squad we built and he blew it.

Well, it's clearly not that simple, because we have a core of players who've played together for a while. And plenty who have absolutely proved themselves good enough at this level.

Brogue The three worst cameo performances in history:

1. Ed Sheeran in Game of Thrones
2. David Beckham in King Arthur
3. Matt Ritchie since coming on

Seen it before, mate.
McGhee got Scottish international Steve Archibald in on trial
He ambled round Elm Park for 45 minutes, and MM subbed him at half time.
"Thanks for your time Steve".....
Big time Charlie

Leam has INHERITED this squad.
I suspect January will be a busy time for transfers in and out.
If it isn't, then expect a new manager in short order.

On the plus side, I believe its Leam's first league loss (?) and we can't possibly play that ineptly many more times this season.

Very bad game circumstances for us.

Energetic Posh side with good pacey wingers (well winger) pressed us high (which we can't cope with), scored early and fortuitously (which we can't cope with) and played around us (which we can't cope with), defending solidly (which we can't cope with) leaving us just backwards passes and hoofs as options (which we can't cope with).

Yes, apparently Leam did, but at the last minute he realised that those players are playing at other clubs.

I'm really going to enjoy Brogue pushing his anti-Richardson and Couhig agenda at every opportunity aren't I.

I can’t remember a performance where the entire team were less than 5 out of 10. Not one decent performance. The quality of passing was embarrassing for professional players. I just hope the manages has the decency to apologize to the poor fans who had to sit through that rubbish.

I`ve seen some poor performances over the years, but that was right up there with the worse ever, there was just nothing, JP must have touched the ball more times than any outfield player.
If anyone thinks we`re too good to go down, think again. a very painful watch.

Just back. Very very disappointing effort

First 30 we were pretty good. Peterboro were poor - continuously gave the ball away under no pressure; and we missed quite a few chances. Doyle and DK particularly

Didn’t do much first 15 of the second but a decent goal from Kelvin:

Then leam loses is the game with a ridiculous double substitution. What’s he hoping to achieve with 4 forwards of about 5ft7 up front? Awful from that point and there were only going to be one winner from that point and it certainly wasn’t us

Really disappointed in LR as well. Lost us the game with that sub imo. No idea what he was thinking

No one played particularly well tbh. Poor day all round.

I await Richardson's post match comments with interest. There really are no positives to find in that performance, and don't even try to mention the 1st half handball shout.

He needs to be very clear he that what he saw tonight wasn't acceptable and that if players want a future at this club they must do better.

He needs to look at his own performance which I’m sure he will

Absolutely need a new big striker in asap. Maybe two.

Wont be going to another game this year, or maybe even next after that total crap
