Don’t think Yiadom did himself any favours Saturday and Nyambe was quality in his cameo. Dorsett did well at CB I thought, better than Paudie who has been a bit disappointing recently imo

I feel like we should see much more rotation from DK and Lane... perhaps keeping things simple for Lane's first start after injury.

Think I want to see more than a cameo of mostly attack from Nyambe before he starts. Cleary is supposed to be one of the outstanding wingers in the division, I don’t think that's who you should judge Yids not being up to it against...

7 is an odd number of games for form (halfway point?), knocked up the rolling 6 game ppg for my own curiosity:
1.6, 1.6, 1.6, 1.6, 2.1, 2.1, 1.8

So this 'slump in form' is still higher than the very good start LM made. And equates over a full season to automatic promotion contenders.

It's not if we went toe to toe with Orient last week and came out on the wrong side of a 3-1 loss, we got battered.
Yesterday's result has basically made Tuesday's game a must win if we have any ambitions for the play offs.

I mean, whilst I take your point to a degree, it really isn't a make or break game in terms of making the play-offs - the absolute worst case scenario tomorrow is being 9 points behind 6th with 2 games in hand on them and 19 games left to play.

Maybe not make or break in dramatic terms, but , with an away game coming up, which I'm never confident in whoever we play, a draw or loss on Tuesday will make the task that little more challenging and certainly won't fill us with confidence.
We just don't look good enough to put a sustained good run together, we concede too many soft goals and fail to create enough chances, even at home. Hope I'm wrong but 2 points per game for the remainder of the season looks beyond us at the moment.

Win = no change 1.8
Draw = 1.5
Lose = 1.3

But then you're always going to have little ups and downs as you go. A win in the game after and it would pop back up again.

I’d say that’s where I’m at currently as well. I think it’s 4 shots on target from the last 2 games - I think generally we’re just too reliant on being very very efficient at scoring the few chances we get. Generally it’s not sustainable

You never know though. If LR can get the squad to properly gel and fix some of the issues we have then I’m convinced we have the individuals to still make a push for the POs

I have never been a fan of the play-offs (Bolton, is it really 30 years ago?) but have to admit for clubs like us and Barnsley etc. it does mean that interest will carry on now for a long way deep into the season.
We are way off top 3 so in earlier years we would be saying that the season is more or less over by the end of January.

I have never been a fan of the play-offs (Bolton, is it really 30 years ago?) but have to admit for clubs like us and Barnsley etc. it does mean that interest will carry on now for a long way deep into the season.

A proper relegation play off would be a laugh! 18th, 19th, 20th and 21st qualify, the losing semi finalists play each other in the final and the loser of that goes down. Was happy to see that idea dropped.

I think how we do varies dramatically on how much and how high teams press us.

The likes of Orient, Posh, and Barnsley have pressed us high, and we struggle to create. Though earlier in the season, I think we'd have lost all those games and created fewer chances. Teams who give us more time and space we tend to create a lot more chances.
