reading his tweets, it looks like he is being fed information by someone, not actually getting it first hand.

At the moment it could all equally be as bollocks as the other rumours. *adopting a wait and see attitude now*

Now we know that the POs are definitely going ahead on time, what does this mean ref the findings/punishment?

Consider some options.

1. QPR get off, small points deduction but still in top two, Fine immaterial.

Obviously this allows the POs to continue as normal.

2. QPR are relegated

If this was the case, I guess the POs COULD go ahead as normal with the finalists being promoted, but that would cause all Hell to be let loose from the seventh club. OTOH the seventh club might make the POs with Cardiff or Swansea getting auto. Again, doesn't delay the POs.

3. QPR win the Championship but are denied promotion.

Reprieving the 3rd bottom Premiership club...

Allows the POs AND any appeal to go ahead.

Any other thoughts? Surely it's very significant that the POs are not being put back. Doesn't that rule out any points deduction that would put QPR into the POs?

QPR deducted 15 points and told to enter play offs. If they refuse their semi-final opponent gets a bye to Wembley.

The mere fact that the play off dates are unchanged tells us nothing.

They don't REFUSe but they APPEAL the sentence.

Way I see it, whatever has been done DOESN'T put them in the POs

It is written.

Warnock goes down, thereby keeping Sheff Utd and West Ham up.

It's a thing of beauty

Just because the final table changes it doesn't mean the play off dates have to be moved. It's the opposition that may change not the dates.

They have obviously decided, that whatever happens (including appeals) it will be resolved before the first play off match, therefore the date is fixed even if the opposition is not.

For the reason above is why IMO QPR will take no part in the play offs no matter what as they have 14 days to appeal!

Interesting tidbit, I'm hearing FL can't now confirm Championship trophy will be at Loftus Rd after all. I make no further comment

It gets more intriguing!

More interesting, I hear that QPR are to lose all points and each point will be redistributed to the club from whence it was unfairly taken. Reading will therefore receive 6 points which they can either use now or bank until next season....

I heard this - there's also a 'power play' option where we can bank the points and then challenge any team, at any time, in a 'double or quits' match.

Surely if the FA were going to allow the team finishing 7th tomorrow into the play-offs - they'd need to give them a bit more notice? Our tickets go on sale tomorrow - they won't be able to do anything until Monday pm at the earliest, and I can't believe the clubs involved will have been given prior warning, because it would have leaked out by now. :|
