Mr Angry
The Daily Mail thinks so; in an article today where they assess the Championship promotion race, they have looked at all the games an come up with:

VERY close to my predictions

Exact same order
3 teams same points and have RFC beating Cardiff on GD(and NO I don't read the DM or write for them)
3 teams within one point

Mail 95-94 Snowball QPR
Mail 82-81 Snowball Norwich
Mail 79-79 Snowball Swansea
Mail 77-77 Snowball Reading
Mail 77-77 Snowball Cardiff
Mail 73-74 Snowball Leeds (And I wrote: in their own hands, but think they won't get this 74)

Now THAT is spooky!

I also had...

07 71 Portsmouth
08 71 Burnley
09 70 Hull
10 70 Forest
11 68 Watford

my head says no and that we will manage to need to beat derby to get sixth place and loose, but having seen that they may not be able the play the final at wembley, it would be just our luck that we actually get to the final without a wembley day out.

Or just an extrapolation based on existing data.

Of course, that's why we all have virtually the same predictions?

But Snowball, you DON'T make any predictions, do you? You merely state what MIGHT happen, and punctuate everything with If this, and IF that.

I've looked back over your posts, and you never once definitively state "This is my prediction"; you splurge vast numbers of stats, have a load of "IF this result goes our way, then this might be the situation" and end up including so many caveats that you cover every single option. Its like a guy at a race meeting telling his mates when the outsider comes in "Ooohhhh - I thought that might happen!". Yeah, well done mate....

Remember, in the other thread you would vehemently post "I'M NOT PREDICTING THIS WILL HAPPEN, BUT IF........."

And now you come on giving it the big I AM.

Typical really.

Perhaps some people are using different extrapolation formulae, and you two happen to be using the same one.

Remind me where you said (less than a week ago) that you wouldn't make pointless jibes?

You just can't help yourself, can you? Not getting enough, is it?

And PS. My teams/points are very specific predictions. And I'll do better than yours.

Mr Angry, dont know why you bother, he is happy tossing off to endless stats, let him be. He would probably be molesting something or other otherwise

So how exactly is the following NOT making a prediction?

There are so many six pointers! Forest, IMO need a miracle!

I think it's quite likely that both Forest and Leeds will FAIL and end up out of the top six. Cardiff may come back as they have an easier run-in.

I've tried to be optimistic for other teams. I have RFC drawing with Pompey, beating Leicester, Losing at Leeds but drawing at Forest

IMO if there are a lot of drawn 6-pointers we could get a huge surprise, like Pompey or RFC sneaking 2nd place on the last day

01 94 QPR
02 81 Norwich
03 79 Swansea
04 77 Reading
05 77 Cardiff
06 74 Leeds (in their own hands, but think they won't get this 74)

07 71 Portsmouth
08 71 Burnley
09 70 Hull
10 70 Forest
11 68 Watford

Colours well and truely nailed there.

If we win all our remaining games and get given a 50 point credit for being nice, I predict we may well break our own points record and be promoted.
