Well yeah being as Rotherham are obliged to take one of the spots, if Bristol went it’d only leave one place for us

Well this sucks.

Lost my local away game. Derby, Pboro & Barnsley were nearby too.

Loads of travelling for the ding-based fans too, having lost the local games down there.

Going to be a long slog of a season!

Rotherham are up which takes the sting away from Barnsley slightly. Still going to be a fair few games in and around your area next season. Huddersfield, Stoke, Coventry, Birmingham, West Brom spring to mind.

It's been a decent season for me as well. Rotherham, Wigan and Sunderland all promoted and are all viable journeys, Burnley as well. Huddersfield stay so that's easier than Forest, Barnsley down which is one lost, but 3 gained from L1. Still the likes of Hull, Preston, Blackburn, Blackpool etc as well. May make the odd journey down to a couple of home games next season, as well as maybe a slightly longer journey as I usually do. Birmingham, West Brom, Coventry maybe for instance.

Yea that’s a good point. Still plenty that are under 2 hours away.

I tend to find the really far up north games such as Sunderland & Hull a less enjoyable experience as naturally, less ding fans make the trip leading to an average experience.

Gained Watford though which isn’t too bad to get to & Norwich is my 1 outstanding ground to visit.

Yeah I've been there plenty of times with the 300-odd brave souls on a Tuesday night at Bolton away before haha.

I enjoyed Barnsley a lot with a very good travelling contingent, I'm determined to do a "local" visit as well, club-wise anyway. Wanting to do a QPR, Watford or Millwall before long, only problem is our chances of winning at those grounds at the moment seem relatively poor given how bad we've been in the majority of our last 10 years.

If Sunderland is reasonable this season for me, that's one I'll be going to. I know someone who is a Sunderland fan pretty well so it would be nice to get one over on them.

Southampton will drop. They are in a mess. Recruitment shambolic, key players will go. They will have a battle on their hands.

Yeah I'm not sold on Southampton either. Teams that suffer an end of season slump need a fast start the following season otherwise it can quickly turn into a poor campaign and what keeps Southampton out of any real danger is there usual strong start to a season, during the mid-back end of the season they struggle.

I don't think either Bournemouth or Fulham will stay up and I can imagine Brentford will be a touch closer this year, maybe Leeds and Southampton will be in and around along with Forest. Although it's still too early to say at this stage.

Often teams who fall away during second half of season are dragged into relegation scrap, Reading can vouch for that! Southampton are that team - 1 win in 13 i believe it was.

That P/O Final was a tough watch; nothing of any real quality and one wonders on that performance what on Earth are Forest going to do to stay up next season! Their 2021/22 season was very similar to our 2011/12 season - made it across the line and then, when the new season started, it was clear that we were totally out of our depth.

I think if there's one thing that will keep Forest up it's their home form. But if that deserts them...then it's a different story.

With current side yes, but they have more pulling power re signings than the likes of Bournemouth and co

Do they ? Really ?
Shirley both Fulham and Bournemouth are, currently, more likely to survive in the PL than Forest

Yeah, not sure winning a trophy or 2 40 years ago is that much of a pull especially when they will be favourites to go down.
