WoodleyRoyal does McCleary want to be here anymore hasn't had a decent game since the burnley home game

In all fairness I thought Fulham away was one of his best performances in a Reading shirt.

Nothing to do with 6 changes, or the tactics, or the manager

The players are clearly all shit, get rid ASAP in the summer

Off topic slightly. Brentford had 42 shots on goal tonight, and scored 4

I'll start to worry when SC starts using the word "reflect" in a post match interview.

andrew1957 Don't forget that Clarke also needs to plan for next season and so he needs to see some of the fringe players in action. Some are playing for their futures at RFC (....which now look bleak!)

Perhaps he could tell those who are planning to travel hundreds of miles North on a weekday evening if that is what he is going to do.

Obita now on 9 yellow cards - might have to be rested for the next two games.

Kitsondinho Jesus, it isn't that bad!! We have been (and remain) an average Championship side all season. We will finish comfortably midtable and can rebuild in the summer. Our squad is simply not good enough for anything more right now. This season may have been mainly crap, but we are still capable of a decent result or two. I'll be more annoyed if this continues into next season!

Oh yeah! Nigel Howe in charge of 'rebuilding' in the summer - real grounds for optimism!

WoodleyRoyal so will he come out with the line 'i don't have to justify my team selection' tonight? i think he bloody well does

I'd love him to deliver that line in front of the poor 187 fans who travelled all that way to support the team!

In all fairness Steve Clarke said after the Ipswich match:

“I thought the team in last 15/20 minutes looked a bit tired, a bit leggy. I wouldn’t say we were hanging on but it’s maybe something I need to look at, to freshen the squad up on Tuesday night.
It’s a big ask. We’ve got two days to recover, one of those days will be spent with three or four hours on a coach minimum. It’s a tough schedule.”

THIS ^^
Also, perhaps he could wait until we're safe from relegation before "looking at fringe players". Or even ask the fans, we could quite easily tell that half his squad are clearly not good enough

Ah, the poor little things. Travelling on a luxury coach is so tiring! Perhaps the card schools lead to mental fatigue.

And six changes with key players not even making the bench is more than a freshen up.
