Interesting reading, I didn’t get to see any of it as I was at work.

Overall, a good point against a team much higher in the table than us and one who had not conceded in a while, good to be two games unbeaten in the league under LEAM.

I think a lot of the mixed reviews comes down to those who were pro Hunt / Happy to see a change.

We desperately need someone up front to put the ball in the net regularly, hopefully in January

I'm surprised at the negativity here, I actually thought we played quite well. I actually thought we looked a lot better than we had done for a little while. Players getting on the ball and actually driving forwards, instead of just passing it sideways when their path was obstructed by a defender.

We seemed to create more opportunities to shoot from meaningful positions than previously, too. I actually felt like that team last night was capable of breaking Rotherham down, instead of getting to the edge of the penalty area and running out of ideas.

Wing seemed to be thinking a little too far ahead of everyone else last night, reminded me of Marek Matejovski. Playing a really useful pass into good space that nobody else was expecting. I can see that when that clicks with our front line, it will create us a lot of opportunities.

Kelvin looked a lot more aggressive, putting his body about, winning the ball more and getting more involved.

There are people on here who still are in the grieving process of losing N hunt as manager and are finding it hard to move on and accept he isn’t manager anymore.

Vision posted , from watching on TV, that he felt we were creating more chances than recently.
At the ground itself there was quite a discontented feeling in the crowd especially with so much possession in our own half and almost as much negative sideways passing as in the days of Rodgersball and Stamball.

I understand why some teams do this to draw the opposition on but if they don't play ball it becomes a stalemate.

Overall I felt that a draw was a fair result.
We made a few half chances (apart from the wonder strike) but there was no Curo, Alf or Marriott around to finish them off.
They created a very good 3-man passing goal and in fact were much more of a close passing side than us or the long ballers of Rotherham teams in the past.

Also they might have scored firstly when O'Connor back-headed the ball by the half way line and their striker was given offside when he had a clear run on goal.
Secondly we all held our breath when Pereira just did enough to stop them scoring when he rushed out of his area.

Two further comments:-

Ritchie was brought in supposedly by Hunt for his professionalism and the manager's voice on the pitch but he has been anything but professional in getting 5 bookings from 6 games and I guess will now be suspended-he seems to shout and moan a lot and does even more pointing than Gunter.

Abrefa-why does he feel that he has to beat the defender and then put the ball on his weaker left foot after seemingly so many times been in a position to make an early cross?

Ahmed has shown he isn't really ready yet, and is rightfully behind Abrefa and Yiadom. With Abrefa, Yiadom and Rino in the squad, it would be madness to include Ahmed.

Hopefully he'll get some more minutes later in the season if performances and results pick up.

Elliott broke again, I believe. Not that he's offered much when fit, like Doyle... technical ability that doesn't actually perform.

A really poor game yesterday, cementing us firmly in the lower third of League One. Contrast with the bluster and noise of a fireworks display at the end and I'm sure there's some parallels in there with the owner and his 'improvements' to various things.

I didn’t feel there was much difference in our style yesterday; lots of sideways passing along the back line. What was more disappointing was the lack of energy and focus considering there’s a new manager, who you would think the players would be trying to impress. There were so many mis-placed passes from players under no pressure at all.

Agreed. I thought the issue was once again that we completely lacked creativity and ran out of ideas when we got into the final third of the pitch. Garcia looked most capable of creating that spark but was then moved back into defence!
