Should go without saying that the club offered the wages, it's not the fault of Ejaria, or any other player that the club are failing to meet their obligations to their staff.

If the club really have an issue with Ejaria and his conduct then they should bite the bullet and (rightly) get rid of him.

WestYorksRoyal If the EFL really want to force the issue, they could give Dai a deadline to prove the club can fulfil its fixtures for the remainder of the season or face expulsion. They have done this before; Bury as a small club got expelled while Bolton and Derby got multiple lives.

It would be a high stakes game of chicken, but would force him to get a move on with the sale.

Assuming the 'exclusivity' period is imminent, I highly doubt they would do anything like this as it could jeopardise the takeover happening. Hopefully we've only got another month of this; six weeks tops. If there was no takeover process happening, then it would make more sense.

The issue is solely with Dai here, let’s not forget that

I think it makes more sense with negotiations ongoing. Stop fcuking about with it and take what's on offer or it's going to get a hell of a lot worse.

Apologies. Had previously posted on wrong thread:

Former Reading reporter Ji-Min Lee tweeting that staff (non-playing) have been paid 25% of their total wages…

Biscuit Analytic (similarly reputable, I believe ran by Alex of EPR) also tweeting that Dai has the money to cover the non-playing staff but decided against such. So it is actually Select Car Leasing once again covering, although raised too late in the day for them to do so in full.

I’m sure he could find the money easily if he wanted. No doubts it’s less than a night at the local Mayfair casino will cost him

What a tosser. Fair play to SCL if true

blythspartan It’s oxf*rd disgusting not paying staff. It’s a shame they can’t sack Ejaria and pay his wages to the people that actually work.

It doesn’t look like exclusivity is even close so this shit show will continue indefinitely.

Yeah, that charlatan is getting something in the region of £60k or more (less tax presumably) this month.

That goes a long way round office staff, club shop, catering, groundsmen, youth coaches etc.

But if Dai is refusing to pay non-playing staff it doesn't matter if Ejaria is taking home 5p or 500k, the staff ain't seeing a penny.

They're fans. Presumably they hope the new owner repays the debt. Fair play though; big effort. SCL is a successful company and they're obvious wealthier than us, but it's not a mega bucks business. Their net profit has been around the £3m for the past couple of years looking at their accounts. This is not small change to them, unlike Dai.

Hound Updated to players wages HAVE been paid

Staff to get majority of wages on Tuesday

Still utter shit but might get away with that points deduction

So the already well off players get paid in full but the club staff who are already not earning a fortune get part of their wages paid in the run up to Christmas.
Hope the players chip in a bit for them.

The EFL and it's rules are not fit for purpose, none payment of wages should cover the entirety of the clubs wages obligations.

This. Hopefully another loophole that will be closed at some point in the near future.

if the pcunt is actively refusing to pay people when he can, I want to see legal action, assets seized, criminal charges and the pcunt horsewhipped through Broad Street.

At another ground? That'd be a pcunt's trick

It's fine. Eastleigh will go into the 3rd round and get a chance of an even bigger tie.

And we've no beef with the FA/FA Cup.

I wouldn't do it vs Charlton either as our name's on the trophy.

Save it for a league match

Let's get Barnsley abandoned

Honest question here - have any of the sadly many clubs that have found themselves in this situation had their fans actively seek to abandon a game? I can't think of a single case but that doesn't mean it hasn't happened.

And also, what is the plan for an abandonment, what would it achieve that another form of demo/protest doesn't?

The EFL certainly owe us an apology for approving this scumbag's takeover of us when the PL failed him in their directors test.

Sends a strong message to the EFL who are as much to blame for this mess

Protests that don't risk fines and/or points deductions need to be used. Otherwise you are going down the same as Dai.

How do you think the players will feel towards the fans in their actions directly result in a points deduction, either as a direct punishment or indirect as a result of a fine being pai instead of player wages?
