Hoop Blah 1 goal in 20 odd appearances in the lower leagues isn't the kind of record that demands a chance in our side.

Have you taken into consideration the fact that they have played him out of his favoured striking position?

Didn't see much of the ball, had a few little runs but didn't really get into the game.

He looks quite quick and good on the ball.

Anonymous, nothing good, nothing bad. The stadium announcer did mention he was Welsh though

No, they didn't, not at Crewe at least.

If Church was that good a forward surely he'd have been played up front for all those lower league teams because that's where he'd make the most difference for them

Church definately started out upfront for Crewe. He may have been moved out wide later in his spell there though, but not for many games. He was well thought of from what I remember reading at the time but he still only scored the one goal right?

Wycombe tended to play the fashionable 4-5-1/4-3-3 with Church being one of the two wide men pushing on, so maybe not an out and out forward, but it depends how they used the wide men as to whether you'd count that as upfront or not I suppose. He definately played as a genuine centre forward for them at times though and failed to score in however many games he played

Not sure what he did on loan at Yeovil, but they were just shit anyway so maybe cant just blame him

Church played every match up front for Crewe.

thought he looked ok out of position
and the lad did a couple of nice thing while he was on
a decent enough job done, and in what he did, didnt look out of his depth

Well good to see Copps bringing him on for a while. He was very impressive with the under 21s and I think he can be at least as good as everyone-on-here's bum-boy Simon Cox.

Not really no, mainly because in the main they didn't.

Church might go on to have a decent career in the lower leagues but he doesn't seem to have enough in his locker to make it at this level or above.
