cmonurz Is Snowball dead?
Haven't seen much of him since we lost another home match that he expected us to win by a good margin.
Results throughout the division are defying logic to such an extent his brain's probably exploded.

What the oxf*rd is happening, its almost as if they dont want to go up this year. Think about it.... we dont go up, the new premiershipship clubs and others snatch our best players (if there are any at the mo!) and Mr M makes a huge killing ££££££ without him having to scare himself silly by spending 2.5mon another shite signing.
Typical, after building the hopes of us all and giving us a taste of the big time it looks as though we may have to make do with being a mid table championship team again for a while. I've decided not going to use my season ticket till they sort themselves out, (which I did say after the Charlton Game) at least I will be more popular with the missus.
Sorry to be doom & gloom guys but this really is getting silly now!

boy1985 All the drop him, start him and Coppell out posts. After every game someone has a revelation about who should be playing where and what is going wrong etc. Fact is NOBODY knows what are best team is anymore, bar maybe the left back position. Maybe if these pLOListics started creating and atmosphere and actually backed which ever bastad has started the game then maybe we'd see our home form improve

Rev Algenon Stickleback H One other thing to consider is that in the past, we not only had two wingers (usually) playing well, we also had two full-backs who put plenty of decent crosses into the box too. If the wingers couldn't get behind their man, they could lay it back to shorey or murty to cross in instead. Armstrong and Rosenior just don't give us that extra attacking option.

You clearly know nothing about football. Yer keep backing the team and the management but when you can clearly see that the league is very poor and actually if we did play our best team and so an average standard we would walk this league surely its time to voiced your opinions. The performances have deserved nothing but boos recently. And I could quote you our best team, in fact many people who have written on here have chosen a team the same or similar to that so there must be some sort of consensus. You cannot continue to back the same players who make the same mistakes every week, i.e. Doobs for being our of position for the majority of the goals, Shunt for being out of position because he runs round the whole pitch like a headless chicken. Some fans like that but theres one thing running around and another doing something useful with the ball. COPPELL IS THE ONE WHO DOESNT KNOW THE RIGHT TEAM and that has always been his weakness, who to start and where. It's so uninspiring. So at the present moment in time my team would be:
GK USA (his experience is vital at this stage of the season although I wouldnt have a prob with A FED)
LB Stretch (no problem there apart from the occasional panis clearance)
RB Rose (ive seen 2 players this year, a confident player and a terrible one, but he has potential)
CB Pearce (barely makes a mistake, yea he's still learning and that is why he needs someone next to him who is not clueless...
CB Bikey (what does the lad have to do to get in this team? He is by far the best centre back in the division and if i was an international not even making the bench in the english 2nd tier id be really hacked off, if coppell played him it would have saved us points)
LW Tabb (Shunt has clearly shown a lack of ability at this level, never was decent never will be...£5mil would have been a blessing in hindsight)
RW Kebe (As much as I love Glen Little the man's lost his legs, Kebe does lose the ball a lot but is also the only player who has the ability to and tries to go round players...he needs confidence)
DM Karacan (I've said this from the word go but this season was really a season we should be integrating the young players into the future of this club. Now can you remind me of the team's form in the 7/8 matches where this lad was present? He looked more than capable when we thrased Wolves 3-0 away. He goes in for challenges and is a great passer of the ball, neither of which James Harper has)
AM Matejovsky ( Now I was there to witness some poor football from him on sat but again he has the potential to do soemthing different, something above my level and he did look more comfortble in the Prem, as its not all hoof and hit and hope football, Having Jem by the side of him means he can concentrate on making chances and not worrying too much about his defensive side, which is his weakness)
SC Doyle (Best striker in the league, you have to play him, hes had his rest now)
SC N Hunt (Great partnership with Doyle earlier on and they have a good understanding of each other. He's a workaholic and unlike his brother can actually do something with the ball. I've left out my idol Kitson and Long as you just have to play the players who fit together the best and earlier in the season these 2 were the 2 who did it).
cmonurz So any post that disagrees with Coppell's team selection is 'shit'?

Negative_Jeff Shame about the unimaginative title, this thread deserves to go further. There is obviously a problem with many aspects of the club at the moment and they go far beyond simply picking a "Team for Donny".
I could start a list;
Poor vocal supportIncompetent stewarding
Inflexible tactics on the pitch
Can`t pass the ball
Can`t win at home
The manager`s future uncertain
The Chairman`s future uncertain
8 pm Kick offs!

And i'm not blaming the fans for the performances, but i'm sick of the same tw@ts who think they know everything. Get a grip for fcuks sake

Terminal Boardom The problem is really quite simple to understand. We do not play as a team. We are no longer a cohesive unit. There are too many individuals not prepared to work for each other. It would seem that the hunger and desire have simply evaporated.
The solution is considerably harder to quantify. the options are fairly straightforward. Either change the playing staff or change the coaching staff. The current situation where the playing staff are being changed does not appear to make one jot of difference. That would suggest that there are a considerable number of players who would prefer to be elsewhere. Thus, I would not be at all surprised to see a wholesale cull at the end of the season IRRESPECTIVE IF WE GAIN PROMOTION OR NOT.
The second option would be to change the management. This should not happen until the end of the season. Whoever comes in must be given the tools to do the job and that will involve bringing in a new coaching team. The current incumbents can not be expected to continue as if nothing has changed. TOO MUCH HAS. This new management team will take a good look at what we have and will very quickly identify those that need to move on.
So whatever happens, there should be a considerable exodus from the Mad Stad.

all i'd say is you are on the wrong board my friend.
It's a fans message board and the topic is Reading Football Club and this particular forum is the Team. So I would expect posts to be made about the team and manager. Some will be shite, some will be hmm some may even be good, but that's what this forum is all about. Having an opinion, no matter how daft it is.

Man Friday Agree with just about every word that Jeffers217 has said and would love to see this team selection with Kitson, Cisse, Long, Gunnar and Fed on bench.
