The weight of expectation is always a factor, and on that basis it's easy to see why WHU are struggling at home (4 draws on the bounce). The more I think about it I can see them falling apart in more ordinary home games.

I have a mate who is a Saints fan and he was saying before Xmas that he fancied us to be there or thereabouts.

Incidentally, I'd like us and Saints to go up, and Brighton to go up via the play-offs; be good to have a load of Southern teams in the Prem!!

If they fail to get automatic having been in the top 2 all season, then the psychological pressure on them in the play-offs will mean they are likely to implode a la Cardiff last season.

The perfect season would be to finish third and lose in the play off final. The premiership was fun while it lasted (ie, the first season and a bit of the second) but the championship is much more fun!

For the LOLz it would be good for Leicester to go up with us; a guaranteed 6 points next season!

KUMB is a good read at the moment and like our own board sees a battle being played out with glass half full v glass half empty v glass someone has pissed in then smashed over your head!

I love the Reading trying to create a rivalry comment, no rivalry is there other than the league positions and if results keep up the way they are we won't be that either as we will be playing in a different division next season.

Possibly true if it's us in the play offs. The hamsters though have a better track record than us!

Pretty much written off as getting top two on Goals on Sunday just now. All about WHU being a Prem Club and Soton being a big club with a great infrastructure.

Just watching "goals on sunday" and all 5 people on there (kamara, sheppard, lee clark and his management team from huddersfield) said "i cant look further than the top 2 now".

SLAMMED Current form table :D

http://stats.football365.com/dom/ENG/D1/oform.html

Interesting that Southampton have scored 2 more and conceded the same.

It pleases me that Doncaster, Barnsley and Peterborough are all in the bottom 7 there :D

Always happens....when we got 106, everyone wanted dear old Colin to lead SUFC up in 1st. I really couldn't care, we like being under the radar!

I thought exactly the same when I watched that today. Can't look further than the top 2 despite 2nd only being there by GD?? Even that has been cut now. Give it a week & our GD might well be better than WHU anyway. (as well as the points tally)

Even if we won the league and ended up winning say 23 games out of the last 29 & being on well over 2 points per game for more than 7 months.... it'll all be about how West Ham & Saints haven't coped with the pressure & they 'collapsed'.

KUMB
Most teams who come to The Boleyn, set out for a draw, I reckon Reading will come here to win the game and that will suit us down to the ground. We're a great counter attacking team who are very good at soaking up pressure and hitting teams on the break. What we're not good at is breaking teams down who put men behind the ball and then countering against us.

unfortunately for the members of KUMB this is exactly how we play.
