To be fair, old Terry looks like he's been hit by a few seats in his time.

How the fcuk has this made the news

I say throw more seats

I'll repeat again:

He didn't throw it

Complete overreaction from the guy and the paper.

LoyalRoyalFan I think you should have to be over the age of at least 21 to travel away.

Why? That's probably the shitest idea I've ever heard

How exactly do you drop a seat that is attached to the floor, usually by various bits of metal, on the head of someone in front of you? The only way this seems possible to my tiny and aged brain is if you have removed said seat from it's original position.

I didn't see the breaking of the chair properly, however it seemed to just break rather than him tear it out, and the guy in front had turned around, he tried to drop it in front of him to put it down, knowing the guy in front could see, and it accidentally hit the guy two rows in front of him. oxf*rd all malicious.

You forgot 'drunk guy disrespects decent football club by damaging their stadium and breaking chair'.

Seriously, is it that hard to create a decent atmosphere without setting off flares and engaging in destruction of property? Can't people stand and sing without turning into cavemen?

Dropped it in row in front, either bounced or swung into the back of his head, no intent.

Are you perhaps the son of a 43-year-old man on bail until the 7th of March?

Nope, just stating he did no wrong (unless he did break the chair).

I agree with Will95, it was dropped because the row in front tried to grab it as the one who broke it was waving it about. I was the other side of the gangway and saw it get dropped, the guy who then got arrested was the one who broke the seat not the guy who caused the drop.

I observed said incident.
I've only been to two away games this season: Yeovil and Brighton.
But both times we've had Reading fans try and be 'cool' and end up looking like feeble tossers.
First it was the lamest flares ever. Now it's drunks ripping up seats and throwing them at old people.
No surprise to see Will95 weighing in again in support; he loves a bit of excitement...

Right, because if the bloke in front hadn't got involved an incident involving a pissed up oxf*rd ripping his seat off and 'waving it about' would have ended well?

LWJ Guy deserved it, heard he was trying to spark violence in the pub beforehand.

Not what I said, if anything the guy in front should've been arrested as well not only for causing the seat to hit the guy but also for then trying to 'start' on his brother. I do however agree with Will that the newspaper makes this sound a lot worse than it was.
