Fans shouting 2-2 coupled with a section of what looked like kids in the west stand jumping up and down,

Major embarrassment to say the least, can see us getting stick for some time to come

Nah, it just goes to show we're the anti-Wolves.

No "you've let us down again" banners, but a jolly pitch invasion even though we've just missed out.

Best fans in the land I tell you.

akranes To the pitch invading twats and the 16,000 that decided to skip the lap of appreciation.

Go oxf*rd yourselves.

More would have stayed if it wasn't for embarrassing pitch invasion. And then some had to go get buses and stuff so couldnt stay because of the oxf*rd oxf*rd who invaded

The cheers gave me hope, but the skysports app still said we were 7th and when the BBc site Saif the same I thought it was an embarrassment as I watched from the stands.

Second embarrassment was the PA system, rarely called upon for safety announcements and when needed it could only be heard outside the ground, which was pointless as they were attempting to address the idiots on the pitch, no doubt the ones confronting the Burnley fans, which was the most embarrassing sight ever, just accept defeat gracefully and wish them well.

I left as it looked like trouble might start and it would have taken 30-45 mins to clear the pitch. Meanwhile kids were playing online pitch, not great parenting.

+1 No one knew if the players would even come back out. Blame the pitch invaders for that!

Just watched it back. Even John thought Forest had equalised. Not enough  in the world. The Sky edit was actually quite kind to us.

Royal Lady Agreed with the OP - Schards said to some bloke are you absolutely sure that Forest have equalised and he said yes. Complete and utter belmonts. And while I'm on the subject of fans - Burnley's fans can do one, I hope they beat Derby's "record" in the Prem - after we applauded them for getting promotion, they continued to rub our faces in the fact we were losing and then cheered when they saw the Brighton score. No effing need for that. Maybe I'll feel differently in a couple of days - but they REALLY p'eed me off.

I would agree with you. But I suspect we and most fans would have done the same.

Agreed

The pitch invaders deserved to have the piss taken out of them.

Thought Brighton had won it, applauded the effort, then everyone starting running on. Went down the bottom and waited there until I'd checked the score, before walking off assuming the lap of honour was off due to the pitch invaders. Burnley fans are pcunts though, worst fan base I've ever met IMO. We looked like total twats today though.

All the technology in the world and no one actually thought to check before making our entire fanbase look like a bunch of idiots. Hey, we came 7th, brilliant! Let's celebrate on the pitch before checking our facts like morons.

Could they not have put the final moments of the Forest match on the big screen :?: They had the Sky Sports stream of our match on during the game

Ahaha rahrahrah misinformed fans are cnuts? I was gutted, then misinformed, got onto the pitch for a chat with a none the wiser mcanuff, scored a goal with a beach ball infront of the north stand, and all in all had a far more enjoyable day on the face of it than an angry keyboard warrior such as yourself.

TBF quite a few of us knew the facts & didn't behave like sheep! Everyone around our area knew Brighton were winning.

Yes you are as many of us wanted to stay and congratulate the players for their performance & you ruined it. Cheers then.

I assume they couldn't for the same reason that they're not allowed to show controversial moments.

Should've been on the pitch mate, mcanuff was more than happy to chat to me personally, but I'm sure clapping the overpriced journeymen and their trophy wives would've made your day?

Why did you feel the need to get on the pitch at all? Had we won something or am I 'misinformed'?

Same around us - the power of radio. Just stood around shaking heads in embarrassment. In hindsight a chorus of you are embarrassing to the invaders would have been worthy.
