Snowflake Royal Agree a new owner is an absolute must.

Bouzanis or Andresson in L1 will be adequate.

CBC can't go anywhere near men's football for at least a year after dreadful showings against Huddersfield and Swansea.

Tbf to CBC you could see he had something. He did come out and take a few nice crosses and couldn’t really be blamed for the goals other than the obvious one

Just looked very hesitant. You would think a year in men’s football is needed - even non league - would help him considerably

Playing like that I think it could destroy him. I wouldn't go near him even below conference the state of the mistakes he's making. He looks terrified.

Needs a break from the pressure, a sports psychologist and at least another year in youth football.

He won't get one of those at Reading as the club doesn't employ one.

They don't employ a surgeon either, but the players still get operations.

Yes, but they don't make the players pay for their own surgeons like they make them pay for their own sports psychologist.

IMO it's absolute madness that they don't have at least a part-time sports psychologist on their books and it's so far behind so many clubs/teams across pretty much every sport. Instead they let clowns like Ince completely destroy the confidence and morale of individual players and the team as a whole with their utterances and bizarre approaches to people management and motivation.

Just as well as any Reading player would be in mountains of debt.

Ince was no fool. I'm sure as an individual greatly respected. His playing career speaks volumes about the man himself. Winners have different mentality. Qualifications as a psychologist doesn't mean that people are actually effective in the role.

Having said that, a lot of Ince's decisions will have been made based on the expertise of others. Ince isn't a doctor, so when thinking of team selections, he will have likely taken the advice of his medical team into account through the sports science/physio department to see who is fit, who isn't, who can play a certain amount of minutes etc.

Insert joke about our medical teams expertise if you wish.

Agree LW

A little late in the day to be pinning our situation (and even our relegation) on him.

Remember, it’s a so-called ‘mans’ game.

For those already itk, Moore was not our best captain (nor advisor) to our youngsters either

Qualifications as anything doesn't mean people are effective. Can't remember the study I saw, but it showed there was no relationship between qualifications and career success (at least on average - there could be certain jobs/roles where there is a strong relationship).

Of course, being a good player doesn't mean you'll be a good coach/manager (and vice-versa). If the manager in the question was always great at crossing, are they going to understand how to improve a player's ability in that area effectively? There's an array of different factors which will determine whether a manager will be effective and successful.

His words and deeds pretty much showed he was.

All recognised by Selles who says the club isn't ready and needs new faces and there are things that have been lined up but how long can they be held? Mr Dai has assured tax bill will be paid but no specifics as to when!

Meanwhile something appears to be rumbling in the background with regard to new investment or maybe a full take over, but who knows if anything comes out of that.

Let's hope the FL looks kindly on the club if it can be shown to be doing everything it can to resolve the mess.

Fun here currently isn't it?

I'm sure the EFL would be delighted to see the back of Dai, but if the penalty for late HMRC payments is 3 windows of embargo then they have to enforce it in the interests of fairness. Similarly they have to be objective in setting the penalty for late wage payments.

The 3 window embargo in itself isn’t an awful thing, could live with that

Certainly don’t need more points penalties

Aye, the less control over signings and transfer spending that useless pcunt has, the better.

Yep, no concern over the 3 window ban if it comes to pass - the vast majority of signings in football now are free agents and you can pick up very decent players that way with a firm plan.

May make loans more difficult but then you look at how Casadei is looking back in a Chelsea shirt in pre-season and even under strict restrictions on paying loan fees, you can still pick up quality.

I do find it a bit strange that the theory is that it's hard to get money out of China. Has some financial/accounting rules in China differed in the last 12 months that has now made it harder than say, 3 months ago?

We had no issues paying the tax bill previously. Just seems like it's a case of either Dai has lost interest, has lost his money or both.
