Snowflake Royal 3 wins on the bounce is definitely a duff result can't be far away territory.

Then again, Noel was heavily involved in both McDermott's late season 8 game winning streaks which catapulted us up the table.

Could he do another one, now as manager? :?

Am sure Charlton fans are thinking the same - 3 games without a win before they also embarked on their current run of 3 wins on the bounce.

They are favourties due to being at home but this, on paper should be tight.

Both won their last 3, scoring 9 - they've only conceded 2, us 3 though.

In those 3, both sides have beaten Northampton (us 4-1, them 0-5) and Cambridge (1-3 v 2-1). Other games were Mansfield for us and Wycombe for them.

The Cap
tidus_mi2 Not really sure what to expect of Charlton, got a few good results lately but before that they were on a pretty poor run. Would they have benefit from keeping the momentum in a winnable game against Crawley, or do they benefit more from the rest now and playing the Crawley game later?

My thoughts as well, tidus. That being said, how many times have we written the lads off, only for them to dig deep and produce a positive result. There seems to be a growing confidence and momentum that, given the general circumstances, is quite remarkable really. And a 2,500 turn out is also a solid support.

2,500 is what we took there last season. With an additional 600 tickets for sale on the day, we could end up taking 2,600-2,700 there.

I would definitely be happy with a point from this game!

Realistically is there any chance it will be called off?
Cheers guys, sending you all love and hugs in these hard times :D :D :D :D :D Canada is thinking of you, off to club some seal's for dinner (Only kidding).

Of all the L1 games tomorrow, I would expect The Valley to be less at risk than most. They have their hybrid-stitched Desso pitch and under soil heating (that unlike ours, still works).

Enjoy your ‘climate’ I was swapping video calls with one of my ex-colleagues in Sask, he was enjoying -15c and 2 foot of snow on NY eve….standard stuff….and their roads (unlike ours after an inch or two) remained open

I didn’t know our undersoil heating doesn’t work at the moment. How long has that been the case?

Campbell gone back?

Brogue 3/5 at the back?

Certainly I’d expect the full backs to get higher up the pitch. Will be interesting to see the shape in midfield too - a diamond, a box? Could it even be closer to a 5-3-2/3-5-2 with Knibbs playing as the deeper striker aside Smith.

Not what I expected, but neither Camara or Campbell being in the side suggests neither are available and the change to the shape is enforced.

5-4-1 will be interesting.

At least with Garcia pushed forward, it’ll hopefully mean Savage getting a better game than when he gets stranded out wide.

wtf. That's very unexpected.

Six defenders seems rather excessive.

Seen it suggested it could be:

Pereira
Mbengue - Bindon - Dean - Kanu
Knibbs - Wing - Savage
Abrefa - Smith - Garcia

Would be surprised if Abrefa plays on the right-wing, although it may be something we’ll try to remain consistent with the shape. Will keep Charlton guessing what we’re going to do!

Injury to Campbell as he looks to have played his final match. Understand #readingfc are still working on a deal to extend his stay until the summer, but still up in the air.

The Tilehurst End suggesting that's what shape we've gone for based on the warm up.

Getting a result with this side will be a major achievement.

I know they're further from the first team, but I'd far rather see an actual forward or midfielder play in position over a defender out.

Whether that's Rushesha, Sackey, Senga, Spencer etc in midfield, or one of the youth players on the wing.

Small already looking a threat, and we continue to struggle to string more than a couple of passes together and just keep lumping and losing it.
