WestYorksRoyal Shows our fanbase than we'd rather watch a friendly against a big team than games that actually matter. I'm not going today, I couldn't give 2 shits about it. Give me the league.

Or that loads of Spurs fans want to go to a local game and pretend to support Reading to do it.

We’re driving down to Cornwall today. Don’t suppose we’ll have an online commentary this week, will we?

Shows that all sorts of people might fancy a day out to watch a team that just won a European trophy ?
It’s not an offence to go and watch a football match !
If it’s a decent game some of these floating voters may even come again.
I’m not sure why there needs to be such a condescending attitude to people other than hard core regulars coming to the Madejskski….

If tickets were general sale all areas than there will be 000's of Spurs tourists. The big London sides have always had big followings in the Thames Valley.

Absolutely but not surprising, our hard-core fanbase isn't anywhere near 20000, probably not even 10000. The last few seasons have proved that.

It’s unreserved seating too. Good luck with this in a full stadium

Agreed. Hopefully the rabid antisemitism on AE doesn't spread to the stands at the SCL and there is no ill feeling towards the Spurs fans who are visiting us today.

I seem to remember Tim or Ady saying two or three weeks ago that Radio Berks. will be doing a commentary today, You could try them as the "blackout" won't count today, as it's not a league game. Hope you can get this on your travels as I hadn't seen your post before now.

Is it reasonable to assume any trialist featuring today has a high chance of joining? It's a high profile friendly with a sell out crowd where we'll want to see how we measure up against high class opposition. You wouldn't throw in a speculative trialist.

Thanks. Yes, we’ve made it all the way to Taunton before the youngest threatened to be sick.

I was hoping it would be covered by my subscription, and not an extra.

Presume you can listen to it via BBC Berks on the BBC Sounds app for free, or pay the club a fiver to listen to the same commentary on the Reading FC App courtesy of RoyalTV or both in an attempt to cover the cr@p digital signal coverage you get everywhere outside of the South East.

That is presuming Berks do actually cover the game live rather than talk ad infinitum about rowing and horse racing again

All over Twitter seems thousands of spurs fans who are not going to the game are paying the £5 for royals TV as it’s a lot cheaper than the spurs offering. Also saying they would rather support a club like us with our recent financial troubles, than give their owners money. Which is nice. Let’s just hope they don’t crash the site :?

I subscribe to the audio stream, which they charge for across the summer, and which is supposed to include all first-team fixtures, so I was surprised there was no stream from Gillingham. Hence why I’m asking today.
