Coppelled Streets On my Birthday of all days. Might well have to go to this one. Great excuse for an all dayer with sandwich bags and then back to a phone box to enjoy the night. 8)

You're a bit obsessed, aren't you?

That was crafty.

notloyalenuffroyal
FlawLess i really hop ew play brentford

Anyone else confused by this? Am I very old?

Is it a plea for jumping female sheep to play Brentford?

Or is it "text speak" - (I never get that!) from a Brentford newbie asking us to play them?

Or are you just dyslexic FlawLess (ironic or what?) and ew is meant to be we and and e is missing and there is no shift button or caps lock on your computer?

I am very confused

Well, he is 'notloyalenuffroyal' which is evidence of two things:
1 - The Royals might not really be his team, since he isn't loyal enough.

2 - That he does indeed use textspeak, as evidenced by the 'enuff'.

But if it was text speak it might be: i hope u play brentford. So I am going with dyslexia, he just was typing too fast for his fingers to keep up with his brain. 'i hope we play brentford' is the ruling.

The end. :P

I think that we have played you in a friendly since that infamous April day 5 seasons ago - I seem to remember that you were given the whole of the New Road and about 100 fans turned up?

Anyway the away supporters will be in the Wendy House at the Brook road end of the ground now - the terrace at the other end has a shiny new roof and is for home fans so none of that "I was standing exactly here when Cureton scored" nonsense will be possible.

But will we get the corner of the stand that we had that day? In which case I could be sitting/standing in exactly the same spot as I was when Cureton scored!

We have indeed. Wasn't it something to do with your centenary celebrations? I remember your lot bringing out a whole load of Brentford ex-players at half time.

Is that the bit behind the other goal, or is it down a side? If its the bit behind the goal, that's excellent for atmosphere - ISTR we were in there when we played you in our Div2 p/o season - Adie Whitbread's first game for us. The terrace at the bottom has a really low roof - makes for excellent noise. IIRC that was the first game I met TROLI at as well.

That double tier stand was always a great away day if you were in the terrace. Great atmosphere. Even with Joe Allen goading us after scoring the winner.

Yes - behind the goal - terracing downstairs and upstairs seating

Strange thought there will be more players from the Brentford team that day playing for us Ivar, Hunt and Sids (maybe) not to mention SC. Only Murts and Shorey remain.

How is our preseason actually shaping up?

Brentford in July seems a good shout.

Ah the old Brook Road End isn't it? Was the away end when we beat Brentford 2-1 in the Playoff Final season. I was sat in the top tier for that with my Brentford mate in the stand down the left, remember laughing constantly at Mark McCammon when he came on who should have been playing basketball and not football. Rowlands was a dirty little oxf*rd as well

We've played friendlies at GP in 2003 & 2004.

I will being going in the home end under the shiny new roof so i can stand on the exact spot where i was when Curo scored. i will be with my Uncle who is a Bees fan and i will be reminding him constantly about that 77th minute strike. :D

Tis looking like we're definitely going to play in the Peace Cup in South Korea so at least 3 games over there and possibly a final. Other teams likely to be involved are Inter Milan, River Plate, Spurs and PSV. Think thats 12-20 July.

77 minutes and 26 seconds.

Away end is now opposite end to the terracing. Seats upstairs and small standin space downstairs.

Do you still have to fold your legs into three and push your knees up to your chin to fit into the seats?!

Only if your are a giant of over 5' 3".

Still it is better than being in the school end at Loftus Road (as are most things in life really)
