I really don't understand where Coppell's coming from with Halford, we all know De La Cruz is solid, but he's not got a long term future at the club. Comments about Coppell trying to protect him don't make sense either, you throw him in the deep end away at Spurs up against Lennon where I thought he did alright and then just drop him, can't do much for his confidence. Maybe Coppell just doesn't rate him as much as De La.

He didn't want to buy Halford until the end of the season - but they had to jump in for him as other clubs were about to pounce.

So Halford's not really part of this season's plans.

Scarface As for booing Sidwell, personally I probably won't, but I have no problem with other fans showing him how disappointed they are with his greedy attitidue.

I'd rather he didn't play full stop

I'm quite the opposite on this. Booing Sidwell hasn't even crossed my mind. He has given superb service to RFC and should be thanked for it. As for his a 'greedy attitude' I can't see this either - rightly or wrongly I think he genuinely believes that he sees the move as a chance to further his career, not simply to further his bank balance. And good luck to him I say.

But how would have playing him in these final final few games not help him for next season?

To be fair it's probably Coppell's way of stopping him getting caught up in all the record buy hype, come next season the media and embarrasingly no doubt a lot of our own fans will have forgotten about it...

Would like to see him out there for the 1st though this week or next.

Quite right, I for one will give Sidwell the biggest cheer of the afternoon. He has given this club great service, helped us firstly get to the Premiership for the first time ever and then stay there.

Anyone who boo's him is either an utter oxf*rd, or knows nothing about football-possibly both

Completely the right attitude. Sidwell deserves a great cheer and hopefully he will get one...

Plus, next season he probably won't be our record signing anymore...

As for Sid, he deserves (and will get from at least 90% of the ground) a huge cheer and standing ovation when (i'm sure) he gets taken off at the end of the game. Has been massive for the club over the years. Booing Sulky Hun (which I don't btw) is one thing as he's shit, but booing somebody who is trying to further their career and has put in good solid performances for the majority of his time with us is dispicable (daffy duck styley).

Any Reading fan who boos Sidwell is a thick as S***, hypocritical bars****!

We won't have any legendary players that we can look back on in future years with any fondness because everyone gets so Ffffing bitter anytime someone wants to leave our quaint little club to further their careers!

There are bigger and better clubs than RFC out there!
