Smoking Kills Dancing Doe
Vision
Smoking Kills Dancing Doe We'll spend big on a winger in January. Henry will be 2nd choice.

The real question is why wasn't this sorted out in the summer when as Coppell tells us all the time it is so much easier to do business.

Surely the answer , which Coppell himself has said on several occasions is that he thought we were OK and wanted to remain loyal to his current squad. Something he subsequently has come to realise was a mistake.

With not one fit right winger in the squad? That's what puzzles me. He had no one to be loyal to.

Oster & Seol were both here and fit until a couple of weeks before deadline so really it was a case of not being able to get a suitable replacement in time. Its proved be an error on his part which he's freely admitted, so i've no idea why you continue to keep dragging it up.

Wycombe Royal He will get his chance, but at the moment he is getting some first team experience, getting his match fitness and sharpness and gaining in confidence.

When he comes back he WILL be ready, but whether he gets his chance is another matter entirely.

Currently the club and doing this the right way, but it is pointless if he doesn't come back to a place in the matchday squad.

To sum up then, if he's good enough he will get picked, and if he isn't, he won't?

Coppell is a conservative coach, we have great kids and he is shipping them all out, why not gamble on a few? you have to throw them in sometime and there have been ample opportunities to do it this season, what is he waiting for? an 8-4 defeat maybe

 Leave James where he is for a couple of months yet at least.Let him get kicked over the touchline a few times to sharpen his own game then come back more like the finished product.

Gus the teenage cow Coppell is a conservative coach,

Keep politics out of this...
Gus the teenage cow we have great kids and he is shipping them all out

We have some with great potential - significant difference !
He's not shipping them out, he's putting them into some testing situations where they will learn and prove a thing or two
,
Gus the teenage cow why not gamble on a few?

Why gamble ?
Gus the teenage cow you have to throw them in sometime

You don't, we have had plenty of good kids who we have not thrown in and none have gone on to prove anyone wrong

Gus the teenage cow and there have been ample opportunities to do it this season, what is he waiting for? an 8-4 defeat maybe

I'd say the one real missed opportunity was Swansea. Other than that - I'm not sure how you reach 'ample' as a number. They have all had much more experience out on loan than they could have got here.

Saw Blakey on the train yesterday going up to London with one of the Medical staff. He was limping well. Took him 20 minutes to get to Upper Crust on Paddington concourse!

Very worrying, Blakey usually shows a fair turn of speed when there is food around !!

So, you are in SSC's hot seat and pondering, do I:-

(a) blood new and young talent in the cauldron of the PL? or
(b) buy new players?

There are of course pros and cons to both and we can pontificate about their various merits or otherwise with impunity, but he actually has to make real decisions and these will be influenced by whom may accept an offer of employment by a "perceived small club"

On balance, why not sign one, borrow one and promote one/three, whatever SSC chooses to do will be OK with me, I think he knows best and we should back his judgement!

I'd be more concerned if we were talking about a bookies.

Have you leanrnt nothing about Steve Coppell while he's been here?

The more people clamour for something to happen, the longer it will be before it does happen. He will make his own decision, when he's ready - and people telling him what to do will make him wait longer.
