A quick look on wikipedia reveals that Trollhattan is something of a centre for Swedish films, including this one which was made there...

Average Past experience has shown that the venues tend to be in the middle of nowhere  and it could take some hrs to get back to your hotel by train if you base yourself just in one place, although car hire is obviously another option (I have my Swedisg driving in the rain badge from 2 or 3 yrs ago!).KLM may be worth a try, we've used them in previous yrs

Much easier to get to and from the games by public transport this year. Assuming you were based in Gothenburg, then:

Thu 24/7 Trollattan:
Train takes just over an hour and you can get back to Gothenburg the same night. For example,
Dep Gothenburg 15:05 Arrive Trollhattan 16:10 = 49SEK (approx £4.20)
Dep Trollhattan 21:30 Arrive Gothenburg 22:45 = 49SEK
There is a later return train if required, but a bit more expensive at 80SEK (approx £7)

Sat 26/7 Lerkils:
You will need to get a train to Kungsbacka and then either a taxi or local bus from there for the 7km to Vallda.
There are regular trains between Gothenburg and Kungsbacka (running late into the night) taking approx 25 minutes. Adult fare is 49SEK (approx £4.20) each way

Tue 29/7 Halmstad:
Again train takes just over an hour. However, the last train back is 21:00 which may be a push seeing as kick-off is 19:00 so may be best to stay over the night. Plenty of trains back the following day.
Dep Gothenburg 15:40 Arrive Halmstad 16:55 = 89SEK (approx £7.60)
Dep Halmstad 21:00 Arrive Gothenburg 22:15 = 89SEK

Thanks for that. That looks a hell of a lot better than some yrs. Liked Gothenburg so it's an obvious place to stay.

thank christ we're going back, the strikers might actually get some confidence by banging in a few goals - sadly missing this year.

Shame really, playing Didcot on a Friday evening was a good evening out a few years ago.

Although i think Coppell has been quite clever. Get the squad in, let them bond with the others in Sweden and then test them against a young pacey attacking team to see how we compare.

a 2 pub team?

Is that a team made up from drinkers from 2 pubs or is it infact 2 pub teams?

If it is the latter then we did mighty well against 22 men!!!!!
