readingbedding Happy that our new signing got on the scoresheet.
Wouldn't read anything into how the season will pan out though.

howser Decent opposition, good result ok it was only a friendly but a fair performance, one thing I know about Hunt N from watching him up this end of the world is that he will score goals if he gets the sevice .

Victor Meldrew I love the analysis of friendlies.
Win and it's great for the confidence and sets players up for the season ahead.
Draw or lose and it's just a game to improve fitness and the result means nothing.
Bring on the real thing even if it is only Championship football.

Cookie I can't find out if Lita was involved (or Long for that matter) but 1 - 3 is a good away win against a team who are in form.

I'd disagree at this stage. The first couple, the results don't matter, but with a week to ten days to go it has to be more than a fitnes exercise. That's why the games tend to get harder as you go along. The point now is to get the team to gel and work naturally together, and a result like this - especially with three goals coming close together towards the end of the game - tends to suggest that the point is being achieved, although of course it's not proof.Victor Meldrew I love the analysis of friendlies.
