Royal Rother He just might flourish.

Whenever he plays for Ireland he looks like the player he was for us in our 1st season in the PL (and short bursts since), so it's still in there somewhere.

That's because Ireland's midfield is crap and make him look good. Also, in international football teams don't play as a unit as well so he gets away with being stupid more.

Pure Royalee logic there!

To busy enjoying the Rodgers revolution of the best player getting sold and trying to get as many clichéd interviews as possible on the OS in a week. Only surprise is the watch isn't on show in the latest one!

Firstly he's had about two or three good games for Ireland and he also always comes on as sub against tiring defences.

He'll probably do ok making sure Reading are competitive next season, but promotion I think will be too far. Could have done a lot worse than Rodgers, but wouldn't have been my personal number 1 choice.

Darren Ferguson for me, especially once he said he was interested in the job.

ayjaydee Hunt will be a Sunderland player by the end of the week.

Let's hope so, I'll put some beers in the fridge ready for the celebration.

Do you issue invites? I may have to gatecrash if not...

Let's not panic. Being thick, arrogant and ungrateful for your lucky life has never been a barrier to getting bought. The leagues are fully of players who've been traded umpteen times between managers who show all the signs of hope over experience. Someone will buy Shunt. Just as someone will employ Joey Barton, Bellamy will get another deal, and even Lee Bowyer will find a home.
Be careful what you wish for, Mr Hunt....

I wouldn't have minded him or Rodgers to be honest - I really don't think there's much to choose between them. Just as there could be doubts about Rodgers, there could also be questions asked of Ferguson though given the amount of money he's had to spend. IMO both are excellent managers and would have taken us up - I think Brendan will.
