Tony Le Mesmer Pearce's distribution is very poor. Skyward or into touch a vast majority of the time.

Doesn't possess a lot of pace either.

Vast Majority is an overstatement, i've seen him play plenty of passes out of defence when it's appropriate.

He'll also kick it into touch or lump it up field if appropriate as well.

it depends on the situation he finds himself in.

Oliver Bozanic has signed a new one year deal while Mitchell Bryant and Radoslav Vasilev have signed their first professional agreements.

I don't think we'll see a huge amount of impact from any of the youth players who haven't already been given some first team experience by Coppell. Davies is the most likely of the ones who didn't play last season.

I expect Karacan, Pearce, Henry and possibly Church, Kelly & Siggurdsson to play bigger roles. With possible cameo appearances for the likes of Baggie, Robson-Kanu, Hamer, Andersen, Bozanic and co. As I said Davies is the possible exception.

Anyone expecting our team to be mostly youth players is quite wrong IMO. We still have plenty of senior talent available, we'll just see the continuation of some quality youth players being blended into the first team. Something Coppell began. He may not have gone far enough, but you can't deny he's played a big part in developing some of these players and getting them ready for the first team with loans and a slow introduction.

I don't agree with that at all. He seemed very confident carrying the ball out of defence on occasions and pretty calm in possession. Guess we watched different games then.

Well thank god for that, we'll all breath easier now that Oliver Bozanic has signed a new deal, you can't argue that he hasn't made an extraordinary impact since joining us.

He still plays under 20's football Floyd... what kind of impact would you expect from him exactly?

Because no-one under the age of 20 has ever had an impact on first-team football?

I saw him play for Woking last season and to be honest he might just as well have gone around with ANONYMOUS printed on the back of his shirt.

Yeah, Gerrard, Lampard and Rooney have games like that too.

I've seen him have some good games for the reserves, I'd hope the club don't decide whether to renew contracts based on performances in a single game out on loan !

Obvioulsy some players have an impact at a young age, others don;t do anything much until well into their 20's,

Thats a bit of a contradiction to woking's website.

taken from http://www.cardsweb.co.uk

After a number of impressive performances, Bozanic had his loan extended till the end of the season.

Avoiding the question, poor.

One game does not a player make.

I'll ask again what kind of impact you expect (not sometimes see from what go onto become world class players) on the first team from an u20's player?

Without doubt the best of the crop is Gylfi Sigurdsson.

Dario Gradi rates him as the best young player he has ever seen at Crewe.

The real question is; most of the current crop of youngsters can make the grade at Championship level, but can they make the step up to the Premier League?
We're yet to see.
