Royal Lady I'm really pleased for our Trev - currently manager of Bridport Town FC and still in the FA Cup qualifying stage - replay at home tomorrow night against Truro. His son plays for them in defence too.

That is great to hear. His Facebook often refers to Bridport but he apppears not to make many references to Reading etc.

Binfield Royal BTW, Andy Hughes is still at Leeds but not playing 1st team I think.

Yes he is. Not really a starter these days but used as a utility player.

Binfield Royal Looked on the Swindon Spuermarine site and they don't List Adie as a player or coach. Same is true of Weston Supermare.

I chatted to him before Murts testimonial and he was looking to get a job in football but ...

He was a sub in their first match this season but has started every match since.

He worked in a factory or something for a while, then he went to work as a PE coach in a school (which he still does) and run his own soccer schools locally.

Paultheroyal - does he have a facebook group then?? Probably set up by a Bridport fan, which is why no mention of Reading!!

... did a 'deep level Anorak' :wink: search and found Ady/Adie :?: IS indeed signed on by Supermarine - he gets a mention in the Wiltshire Times last week as being unavailable for (last) Saturday's Cup Tie with Brackley - hamstring injury.

My eldest goes to school with his son - so I might ask for some first/second-hand news?

As you say though no sign of him on the 'Marine website - though he also got a thread to himself on the Archived Forum: having discussions with Supermarine in August - it stated there that he hadn't actually ever signed for W-S-M.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Oh and another couple 'for the mix' :-
Keith Knight now fit and fourty - just signed as a player/coach at Cirencester Town.
Paul Brayson - recently left Durham City whom he joined from (now defunct?) Newcastle Blue Star and signed for (I think) Blyth Spartans - had previously banged a fair few in for Northwich Victoria - seems he wants to stay up in the North East - where he's from.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

... and does anyone know what happened to Kim Sainsbury or Michael Barnes - my mate has asked about them - seeing as how he's a Stavvy Rd lad and has an interest in former-Whitley Boys who made it to the Hoops! :wink:

Last I knew of Michael Barnes he was a courier driver or something like that. But that was years ago.

Used to see Kim Sainsbury frequently around South Reading Leisure Centre where he used to boss the Squash leagues. Not seen him for ages but think he is still local (to Northumberland Avenue that is)

Apparently was about to start a scouting job for an unnamed West London club, but that fell through for some reason.
