I expected us to get done on Saturday so a change in manager makes no odds as far as I'm concerned.

Sarah Star What is it with this pessimism about the Bristol game now? All the teams I've seen play who'd just lost their managers ended up playing a blinder and winning. Something to do with trying to impress, so I'm told.

And where's the manager to impress?

We'll get beat!

How many times do I need to tell you, thicko - our manager is Brian McDermott.

Well could they tell the players and fans that so we know instead of all the speculation.

Wouldn't be surprised if he ended up getting it.

I remember the Bradford game. My friend at school the Monday after said we were "lucky to get a point". He soon regretted saying anything as I gave a non stop 20 minute tirade about how we were the better team and should have won, and how we'd go up...etc.

From the Chronice

Now, Royals chief scout and ex-reserves boss Brian McDermott will take over first-team affairs at Ashton Gate this weekend and will remain in the position until a permanent replacement is found.

It's true that sometimes teams do better under a new manager, but unless McDermott can conjure up a new forward from somewhere or reinvigorate Long, we're still up against it at Bristol. Rodgers has left a horribly unbalanced squad to work with, which is one of the reasons we haven't won many games.
