Great result!

Anyone got a link to the Peace Cup table - I guess we could win it if we put a fair few past Shimuzu (or whatever the team we play next is called)

From the very jerky sopcast I watched I thought we looked good. Doobs marshalled defense well, Cisse had a few good touches and we've just beaten the French Champions. Spacey will be pleased.

From the 107 comms, I think we need Lyon to beat River Plate and beat Shimuzu by at least 2 goals to make the final.

lyon 1 w 1 loss

reading 1 win 1 loss

lyon beat shmizell the mizzle 2-0

so as long as river beat lyon we just have to beat the japanese by 2 or more goals

i think, could very well be wrong though

if river lose to lyon i have no idea what will happen

Not sure that's right - if River beat Shmizell and then beat Lyon they've won the Cup

If River beat Lyon then they will be top of the group with 3 wins.

Basically we need to beat Shmiz by 2 or more goals (might be 3 or more actually) and hope that Lyon beat River by only 1 goal.

River Plate will have 7 points, the best we could do is 6 points

Then River will have 7 points and if we beat Smurfs then we'll only have 6. It's not rocket science.

There aren't any semis - winner of each group in final.
