Old Man Andrews When Brentford lose Ollie Watkins in January they will sink without a trace.

A common misconception. They’ll find someone else to replace the mould of Watkins, before selling them on for a profit in a few years and repeat...im sure people would have said similar things after losing Dean, Egan, Maupay, Jozefzoon, Sawyers, Woods, Jota, Vibe, Colin etc etc...

Sink without a trace in terms of any promotion push, didn't mean sinking to League 1. Brentford's business model is a very good one providing they are content with playing Championship football forever, they must be very financially secure.

Their model is good but only to a certain extent. It’s clear they’re not reinvesting enough of their profits because they’re constantly finishing in the same position. I’m not sure any owner would be happy to be stuck in the Championship for a long time. I thought the signing of Jansson could help but it hasn’t really made a difference yet

From where Brentford were and have been the majority of their existence I don't think being stuck in a Championship is necessarily a bad thing.

URZZZZ rotting in the Championship will often lead to relegation, like with Ipswich last year

Hound So Keogh's career is basically over. 15 month injury apparently
Bizarrely Derby sound like they are considering the other 2 goons to play on Wednesday. Not sure how that is going to go down
