I think it will be an automatic relegation and there will be only one automatic promotion spot next year, with only two teams getting relegated.

Well, I hope.

As it's the FA bringing the charges, I don't know if they can deduct points.
That is the FL's decision and we've had no indication as to what their reaction will be.

Reckon it'll just be a fine and poss ban from FA cup next season.
Just hope the FL maintain their normally tough stance on such matters as given to Luton, Plymouth etc.

What would be the point of that. Would just disrupt the whole league competition structure. Any points penalty has to be applied this season or not at all.

It's been done before so it can be done again.

Royal Lady A fine wouldn't affect them as they have loads of money. If there are no repercussions other than a fine, every other team may as well chance their luck and field ineligible players, knowing that if they get caught, they'll get a fine. Makes my blood boil it does.

RL much like the people who said Rooney should have been fined instead of a ban ....money is now immaterial to him and others and what punishment is £50k when you earn £200k a ecking week ! ...lets see , that c.2 days work and they dont work all day either......

maybe fines should be applied on % of pay basis ....

...if not, surely grounds for Luton & Co to appeal ?

They lost the game anyway. Deducted one point and a £10,000 fine.

Interesting, maybe they just have shit lawyers.

1 point from one game in a game that they lost.

How many games does QPR's charge relate to?

I bet Bernie E and his clan would be wishing that old Sepp was the FA decision man ....things could turn out a whole load different (or not) if he was....think of all those brown envelopes, all paid weekends at far-away grand prixs, all that steel !!! :D

i'm sure the expensive QPR lawyers will be working overtime on it but i just think that the FL may want to set an example here.

Surely the league won't want to portray the message that not only can you break the rules but it's also ok to ignore us when we find out and warn you.

The football league have effectively given themselves no choice but to deduct QPR points after doing it to Torquay, assuming QPR are guilty. Of course 1 point would be meaningless; QPR can still get off relatively easy.

However, if it's 1 point for 1 match Torquay lost, how much more should it be for 20 games or so which put QPR top?

If the FL really wanted to make an example of QPR to stave off any clubs doing the same in the future, then they should jolly well make them automatically relegated, meaning 2 others go down this season instead of the usual 3 at the bottom, imo.

there could be some very strange scenarios going into the last game of the season as the decision is due 24 hrs before.
