At least our overheads were minimal :D

We might have got around £60,000 TV money today.

Who cares? It's only money. I'm sure it wouldn't have come in handy whatsoever. We can easily afford to turn it down.
calm down to a seethe Orion, you’re not another underpaid employee too are you?

Ftr, the family member ground staffsman will not be turning up for work until he has been paid in full. Could be ‘interesting’ if others are like-minded.

One of the biggest differences was nous and physicality. We were always going to get outmuscled by a stronger, older and more experienced team. That's what happens when the team is (unavoidably) mainly all kids.

Having said that, to quote Edmund Blackadder, in the Amazonian rain forests there are tribes of Indians as yet untouched by civilisation who knew that Reading would concede from that last minute corner.

What's the prize money in the EFL trophy out of interest?

Ah, a bit unlucky Reading, only one goal in it. Meanwhile, Wrexham have done it again with a 3-0 win over Yeovil, if Parky jumps ship that Jimmy Mullin and Oille Palmer could do a job for us.

Xactly

No regrets, no surprises, as the song goes

Not the embarrassment that some here want it to be.

Fair play ITV (having watched their coverage) seemed to understand our predicament….

Mola, Carson, Elliot, Savage, Mbengue and Holmes were all very poor.

The commentators were discussing where we might have been without Smith's injury, but our key player is Wing. He moves between the lines and always seems to be in the right place.

Knibbs was largely non-existent.

Craig continues to impress.

I suppose a Man United fan has to get their kicks from somewhere. Not getting it from Erik Ten Minutes From Getting Sacked and the boys.

Royal Rother Christ alive, as Ian has been saying for months, Mbengue is a truly awful defender.

The quality of delivery in the 1st half particularly was worse than you’d see in a Sunday League Reserves game. Time after time aiming for people about 20 ft tall.

Ebhi was useless. Elliott was useless. Savage was useless. Not sure Knibbs was actually on the pitch.

Mola was ok, in fact he was pretty decent in CD.

Smith at least looked dangerous.

Oh well,

Not defender, fullback, I think he can do fine at CB, where he has to focus on less.

I don't know who scouted Mola but they need to be fired, Mbengue must only ever be a back up CB and whatever the oxf*rd happened to Kelvin in his time on the bench is beyond me.

Let's be clear, none of those players were teenagers.
Pereira is 27, Holmes 23 with 100 senior appearances, Knibbs 24 with 100 senior appearances. Azeez has 50. Dean and Button have 100s. Smith and Wing similar. Azeez and Mukairu 50+ Then there's Yiadom, NGW and Dorsett to a lesser extent with senior experience not even in the squad.

Selles chose not to play more experienced players. It wasn't forced on him.

Let's also remember that one of the most composed Reading players on the pitch was Michael Craig.

Yeah not taking the kids argument

Dean, Hutch, NGW, yiadom, Dorsett, Button, Wing, Smith, Mukario, Ejaria are well to vastly experienced players who he chose not to start and Holmes and Knibbs did start

No real need to play a load of kids if we didn’t want to and no surprise they got bullied by an organised bunch of aggressive tough hard working non league players
