CJC Great news to finally get this all sorted, was getting worried it would drag on all summer. As for the stadium name, i very much doubt Sir John would allow it to be changed in the near future.....we all know how he likes his name on pretty much everything. it may even be part of the deal!

Madejski paid to have his name on the stadium, I would imagine someone would have to pay a fair few bob to take it off.

I believe it was a suggestion from a minion that he modestly accepted.

I'd happily chip in for a rearrangement of letters to form READING FC

That minion has now managed to finally find himself on the board of directors as well.

I'm sure for the runoured £8-11m it cost the first time round you could call it what you like though.

The point is that when the stadium was built part of the budget cost was to be covered by naming rights. However as no-one came forward to cover that,Madejski himself was left to do so. I'm pretty certain it didn't need a gun put to his head to be more than happy to name it after himself but it's also why it would come as no surprise if he fought pretty hard to make sure his name stayed on there unless there was a substantial amount of money offered to relinquish it.

Personally i think the Roy Smith Stadium has a great ring to it.

I don't think they or anyone has a clue as to how much we'll have to spend, however just for a laugh;

Marriappa - 2.5 Mill
Gunter - 3 mill
Whittingham - 4 mill
Matt Phillips - 2 Mill
Yakubu 1 Mill

And a left back with the rest

Personally i dont think we would go for Whittingham and Phillips - maybe just one if we did.

I still think we need another centre mid, to add that attacking flair

Been trying to get in to Hob Nob since yesterday evening with no luck but finally made it! Quick post before it crashes again!

Very happy to hear that the deal is finally through.

Exciting times ahead. Who will be the first signing?

Thus ensuring an immediate transfer request from Sigurdsson due to the harsh treatment of his bezzie m8.
