Reading_Royal i've paid £42 for my return flights from soton airport, leaving tuesday midday and returning thursday afternoon.
I don't have a ticket and i will need to get two so hoping i can get them!
How many people do you think will plan to travel to Newcastle on a weekday night just before christmas?? hopefully not too many!

How slow do you drive? I reckon 3 to 3.5 hours to Leeds depending on how many times I stop.

Looking further up this thread the Holiday Inn Express looks popular (I'm there), but there are a number of similar hotels (and prices) around the station area which is close to St James Park... hurry though they are all probably getting popular for night of Dec 6th now!
