I don't think we have given Kitson enough credit for the goal. If you watched MOTD you will have seen that Kitson shaped up as if he was going to put it inside the far post and he was also looking in that direction and then put it inside the near post, completely wrong footing Hart.

Nah it was actually a typical Kits go...picks the ball up jinks past a couple of lame tackles and then shapes up rather casually before cheekily rolling the ball into the bottom corner...you don't have to break the back of the net to score it's all about beating the keeper...good goal IMO..

Absolutely clattered in a fair 50/50 challenge by Hunty, the Bionic Man. Won us the game probably, what with City's centre-half issues.

I'm in absolute shock that this is being taken so wrongly by so many.

It wasn't anywhere near a challenge, let alone a 50/50 one! Dunne 100% clattered into Hunt and probably a little too aggresively and not far off from a foul in my opinion.

Spot on. Not much earlier Rennie had awarded a freekick against Harper when he slid in, won the ball cleanly but saw his momentum carry him on into the City player. Rennie had also awarded a freekick against Bikey for 'intent' when he slid in and Benjani had to take evasive action. Dunne's challenge started further away and had far more power behind it, after he took the ball he really clattered into Hunt - I was very surprised when a freekick wasn't awarded against him. Even that twat Holt would have difficulty blaming Hunt for this one.

When Ronaldinho does that all the brodcasters start wetting themselves. Kitson totally fooled Hart by looking the other way and I don't think Hart could really be blamed.

I was a bit annoyed that Dunner felt capable of playing on for a minute or two, but then had to sit down and be stretchered off when the ball had gone out; Rennie should have made him walk off, seeing as he felt capable of playing on. I was also annoyed that we didn't attack him after he was injured. He was quite clearly only walking and somebody - Long or Matejovski, I forget which - completely failed to see that he was nothing more than a gaping hole in the heart of the City defence. Instead of ghosting past him, they run in the "solid" wall of Ball and Corluka.

Also, it was quite nice of City not to give the ball back when we had played it out for Michael Ball's injury, especially as we'd returned the ball to them when Dunne was injured.

Absolutely no chance - you could see he was struggling pretty quickly. He played on because he's the captain, and he was prepared to oxf*rd himself up if it would help the team. But he could then have walked the extra 20 yards to receive treatment, rather than lie down and waste four or five minutes.

Some of us have a blind spot about players-mine have been Hughes and Hunt whereas for others it's Oster or Lita and we can never see their good side but I think that is normal with football fans everywhere.
My other fault is that I see so little wrong with whatever Kitson does.
Allowing for my bias I still feel that Hunt was our worst player.
I see that Lita played for some lower division club managed by some low-life and was part of a team booed off (quite rightly said the manager)so let's hope the confidence boost that we are supposedly expecting doesn't disappear altogether.

I can't be sure but please tell me this is toungue in cheek as you have never shown complete numptiness before and it would be a little disconcerting to see it over this issue.

There was a close-up of Dunne as he'd got up and was walking away after that challenge, and he didn't exactly look in pain. I don't think he felt it, that's not to belittle the injury by the way, but people have played on with a broken neck and run with a broken leg before realising that their injury is so severe. Therefore, some of what Rabidbee says is right imho, he could have walked off to the touchline and then got attention when he realised he was pouring so much blood. I'd also agree wholeheartedly with the comment that City should have given us the ball back when Rosenior (I think it was him) kicked it into touch when that player was on the ground. The player who was writhing around, needed attention on the pitch and then ran straight back on when he was allowed to.

Anyone that blames Hunt must be blind.

Hunt was running with the ball and Dunne tackled him VERY hard (but fair) and injured himself in the process.

I was sitting a long way away, heard someone say in the ground say it was his knee and posted before seeing it properly on TV. I confused Aliadiere and Lee Dong-Gook when Reading played Boro so don't trust my eyewitness accounts!
