LoyalRoyalFan Another average display by Harper. All he does is run around and tire himself out. He lost the ball on many occasions and this was the only time he has threaded a ball through to our strikers in ages.
Alright he is good at closing down, but he needs to improve his game or he will be replaced.

I love the way that after 2WW1WC's post of down to earth calm you came up with that. Biggest lol of the day

I hope this thread keeps going :)

That was a moment of unparralled stupidity. Even I've never come up with anything that bad. Neither has Jay.

Franchise FC
2 world wars, 1 world cup It's laughable really that with arguably the best team in this division having gotten us to second spot after a very demoralising relgation we still feel the need to slag off almost every player.

USA - not good enough, poor distribution fed needs to come in
Fed - but he's not good enough

HARPER

by IMAMATEOFJOVSKY » 17 Jan 2009 17:19

Yet another camel shit performance from our insprational captain ! Coppell says he'll only buy if he can impriove what he has - well there must be a fair few hundred midfielders who possess more ability than dear James -- the rose tinted spec wearers on here will obv be defending him and wiping his a*rse but yet again today he proved what he is - crap!

I haven't seen the game, so can't judge Harper's performance, but given that, you'd have to worry why Marek is reduced to half hour cameos.

Oh yes, it's because he has been ineffectual in the majority of his games for Reading, and has about as much presence in the midfield as Verne Troyer.

Its the same old "We lost, so lets blame Harper" senario. He's become the scape goat for a poor team performance.

And im not an RTG because i do believe that in most games HArper is less than inspiring.

Funny how Coppell isn't the only very good manager to rate Harper very highly!

Today's loss was down to tactics.

We needed 5 in mid-field from the word go. Or after 10 mins anyway

He sounded shite today. And we certainly seemed to come into the game when Marek was brought on. However I will wait to see the reports of those who were there before commenting further.

Start listing them then??? Funny how Harper isnt mentioned as a possible transfer target if he's that good ....he's got charisma, good to be around the dressing room - but those things dont get a team promoted.

When was the last time Harper dominated the midfield in a game? - and please don't say thats not what Harper's job is!

Can't see the point of either posting or reading about players' (or the team's) performance without input from people who actually saw the game first-hand. Let's just wait for the Back from the Game thread, eh?
