MmmMonsterMunch Come on we'd have all taken a draw before kick off wouldn't we?

FFS. Why does everyone keep saying that?

That's not how it works!

God damn stupid football clichés.

I would have taken a draw today. Given how we played I don't see how anyone can say we've dropped 2 points. We were bloody lucky to be 2-0 up!!

E. Andrew I've grown accustomed to the doom and gloom talk Saturday night, and I don't mind it. But realistically, keep in mind there are 9 teams with less than two wins.

We've won 2 PL games out of our last 22. On that form we will have less than two wins until 2013.

Born 'n Bred Royal Let's look on the bright side, another point and one that takes us out of the relegation zone. Who really thought we were good enough not to be in a relegation scrap anyway?

Quite. We all knew it was going to be an almighty scrap this season. Lets face it we were lucky to get here in the first place so I for one intend to stay positive & see what happens. We absolutely can stay up & I am sure funds would be made available in Jan if needed.

Agreed usually, but we should have had zero. So that was a charity point, and we were lucky.

It's not that we didn't get the win, it was how we didn't get the win.

People are saying "who wouldn't have said they wouldn't taken the point before this game", but once up 2-0 the point is diappointing. And outside of injury time the entire second half was played in our half. We have McCarthy to thank for saving us the point...MotM for both sides in this game.

Yes, because how we played in 2008 is somehow relevant to how we will play next month :|

What sort of BS stat is that exactly? Are you Snowball in disguise? 16 of those 22 were 4 years ago.

If we'd been away all day and come back to see this result we'd probably be quite content.

However, having witnessed that performance, I don't blame anyone for being negative tonight.

We didn't even come close to competing with Swansea until stoppage time (where tbf we looked decent for 2 minutes). At no point did we play with any tempo or try to get onto the front foot.

McDermott has talked about 'identity' a lot this week, but today we didn't play with any. We just looked like 11 blokes who had turned up to be piggies in the middle.

Not impressed at all, we didn't show any of the signs of progress that we showed against Newcastle.

i agree that we didn't deserve to be 2-0 up, but in my eyes to be 2-0 and then to draw is 2 points dropped. if we cant keep a 2 goal lead this season, especially against teams not in the top 8 or so then we are going to be in big big trouble

Don't see how I'm burying my head in the sand for refusing to be p1ssed off at getting a point away from home.

We ain't that good. We were always going to be in the mix for relegation. Quite clearly I have come to terms with that better than you Avon.

Rather than slit my wrists every Sat at 5pm I will just see what happens.

If that had been against Man United we would have expected to have been outplayed all over the pitch and a point would have been an almighty bonus even after being 2-0 up.

After going 2-0 up completely against the run of play against Swansea, there surely comes a point that the gaffer thinks fcuk me I better get some fresh legs in midfield and try and keep the ball a bit, usually before the 87th minute!

Everyone said 'if we play the same game and team as we did against Newcastle - we'll beat Swansea'. So, what do we do? put a different f..ing team on. It's all very honourable playing the likes of Tabb etc and giving them a Prem chance but ffs. Another point ? so what? we might as well have lost five and got one win against Stoke - same difference.

We were awful. But there were three holdovers from week one; every team is VERY different. If we suddenly find an 11 that takes 7+ out of 9, I don't think there's any reason to compare them to one of these selections. Our chances will look much different.

Edit: Saying sun-shiny shti like this makes me sick though. I'd rather pour a glass of scotch.

In better news, our U18's beat Arsenal 3-0 with an Ikpeazu hat-trick, making him the leading U18 scorer in the country right now.
