Certainly looks like he should have got more of Rushesha's midfield appearances. And probably Sackey's too.

But then I think Sackey is younger, so had more time on his side, and Rushesha may have been seen as more utility.

I get the feeling we're more willing to waste the time of a player like Rushesha, who isn’t home grown, holding onto him as emergency back up and padding out the Unders, than we are to waste the time of a home grown player who could be furthering their career elsewhere.

I may be misunderstanding but you seem to be suggesting Wellens was home grown ?

Just go with it. It's easier to just agree with him.

Heaven forbid we could manage our own reasonable conversation, whether it involves a difference of opinion on 'home grown' or not, without you having a pop.

Indeed, I wasn’t looking for an argument !
But Wellens was 20 when we signed him.
The original comment was a bit hard to untangle hence my caveat.

Yeah no worries. I had assumed he'd been here longer than that, if not necessarily lots more. Home grown probably not the best words to use.

He's been in the Academy for several years. More home grown than Long, whether he's as home grown as McIntyre doesn't really come into it.

Rushesha basically came in as an academy graduate from another club at the edge of the first team from day 1

He was 20 when he signed, and was here for two seasons.

Long signed when he was 18

He spent two years in the Academy, Long was playing in the first team inside 6 months of joining. I wasn't talking about age.
