Extended-Phenotype Why are we leaving it until the 80th oxf*rd minute to make changes?

Quite deliberate. After all the moaning and whining Leam didn’t want the goals scored any earlier than the 90th minute.

With Hudders and Stockport losing l, we’re right in the mix somehow. I guess that’s what happens when you have experienced forwards knocking about

Hopefully that’ll give Lane some confidence

Defensively stats look decent. Hoepfully a bit more solid. Annoyed I missed this one now

I knew if I slagged Lane off he might do something.
We are a bonkers team though....conceed in2games in injury time then turn a game on its head in injury time.....fact is though we are guff and somehow seem to be in the mix. Bizarre.

How shit must Bradford be? We won without Jack (somehow).

I think we narrowly deserved to win that - Bradford really didn't do much in the 2nd half and scored from a shot that really did go through JP's hands although it was well struck. It was nice to see us for once grab some goals at the death - both were very well taken goals. Ward was really good again at the back - what a signing! We played some good stuff today, but often the final ball let us down. But if we'd lost that it would have been harsh.

Their fans are blaming their manager for substitutional tinkering. Also had a pop at JP saying he’s made a meal of what he had to do and should have saved their goal.

morganb Just woke up to the following on Twitter -

Very bad news for the Play off race , we have lost Marriott for the season due to injury and sounds like Patton has been called back from his loan due to this .

Think they are usually reliable...

Anyone else heard anything from other sources?

That's one of Brogue's many accounts. So likely to be reliable.

Agree with most of this tbf

The one take away from today (that every fan knows and every manager doesn't seem to), is that Kelvin is utterly hopeless as a lone target man. As soon as he was moved more to the wing when we started attacking, he was a changed. Much better with the ball at his feet.

My God wasn't Savage just running around like a headless chicken for most of that game. Then like everyone else, he became a different player when we suddenly started attacking as a team

Yeah agree 100% - it was very tough on Kelvin ... low on confidence and playing in a position that just doesn't favour him. Also, agree on Savage ... and that was a very nice strike by Lane, normally the kind of shot that Marriott would do.

Biggest smash and grab mugging from us for many a year. Up to 90 minutes we were truly awful and so negative and then we started showing some fight and somehow managed to get three points . Most of our players were absolute shite for 90 minutes , this result will only paper over the cracks. Richardson must feel he's won the lottery with that win, his negativity and unwillingness to attack is awful . What ever happens the rest of the season he is not the answer to this club going forward .

* interestingly our league record without Marriott since he signed is 14 points from 6 games

Not saying he’s not important of course but we’ve also done fine without him so far from a smallish sample

Anyway sounds like a recurrence of his hammy - so maybe a similar time out to before. He has a bit of history of it doesn’t he?

No idea how we won that. Hopefully this is the spark both Paddy Lane and Matt Ritchie have needed.

That was the most 0-0 game I have ever seen, no idea how it ended 2-1, both teams pretty shite. Feeling smug at predicting a win on the poll.

Any idea why we played "the wrong way around"? Our choice or theirs?
