The frustration is that we brought in two keepers. Ok one is on loan but why then bring in another keeper who will be taking up a wage that we could have used to bring in Shackleton. It seems Millwall can pay more of his wages then we can.

Not allowed to say that.

You can say it much as you like, doesn’t nec mean it’s right

I’m actually more frustrated we used a loan on a keeper of lumleys standing. He may be fine but suspect there are similar level keepers around on a free. No issue at all with Bouzanis

I'd be happy with Bouzanis if we didn't already have cover in the squad. Lumley, I'm concerned about the quality of the signing, but I can accept the need for someone to come in and be No 1. Would like to think we could do better as you say but, who knows.

It feels like a position you can wait on for the right opportunity to pop up, potentially quite late. And even after the season starts for a back up.

Agree in principle regarding waiting for the right opportunity but I think it was pretty important we addressed our goalkeeping situation early doors considering the issues we had there last season. Question the quality of the signings but they seem decent enough to me and seem to fit the profile of the club quite well.

Suspect both keepers will prove to be no better than Southwood. Like Fornals a lot though.

I agree they fit the recent profile of the club. This isn't something I'd generally consider a positive though.

Not sure we were after better, just different. I like a lot about south wood, he’s athletic, agile and a good footballer. But he’s not physically imposing and doesn’t dominate his area.
These are things that you can’t really change by coaching
I think Ince wants more presence from his keepers, something different to what Southeood offers

Simon's Church Maybe. Good to know that any of the staff, not just the manager, can ask for their son and son's best friend to be given 3 year deals then.

Anyway, Jake Cooper's nephew seems to be at the front of the young CB queue now, travelled with the first team ahead of Stickland, Dorsett and Abbey.

Wonder where that one got recommended in from

Welcome back mafff

Thanks, been a while!

So - as it stands - someone help me out....

with what is definite - what is the probable team for Blackpool and what is the potential team for Blackpool with strong rumoured incomings.

My preferred team at this moment in time for Blackpool would be

Lumley
Yiadom Holmes Dann McIntyre
Fonsah Tetek
Meite Ejaria Hoilett
Joao

It likely won't be that, but that seems to be what we can put out at the moment, depending on how long Dann is injured for. Would expect at least half a dozen arrivals before we kick off against Blackpool though so it will look different I'm sure.

Bought my ticket for Blackpool now as well, £29 the robbing ...

I bet Ince will play his son ahead of Meite

Probably, but that's what I'd go with based on the players we have now.

Expect it to be different come the day before the game though.

Semi covered on my squad updates.

.......................Lumley
Yiadom, Holmes, Dorsett, McIntyre
..................Fornah, Tetek
Ince, ..............Ejaria,................. Meite
.........................Joao

Is my best guess based on who is definitely fit and definitely registered to play for us and how we lined up against Benfica.

Somebody must have threatened Graham with legal action, that's about the only way you'll get a post deleted in a few bare hours.

PTR, is this something where we can start jumping off walls with happiness or should we start collecting money to try and get some better quality players?
